Book Review: Ends of Being

Image
Darius She’s a f**king menace. She has no regard for her safety and dances along the tongue in the mouth of danger. A loose cannon who torments me day in and day out. She thinks I can’t rise to meet her challenge. She thinks I don’t know what goes on in that beautiful head of hers. But she’s sorely mistaken. Mistaken about who exactly she is to me. Mistaken about how much danger she’s in. And mistaken about what I can take. Challenge f**king accepted. Antoinette It’s adorable really. How tough, “Mr. Clark Kent”, thinks he is, in his starched shirts and cashmere sweaters. A bore to his core, he’s my favorite target of torment. I love to push his buttons and see how far I can take it. But something about him calls to me. Somehow I know there is more to him than meets the eye. What will it take to make him loosen that tie and release the beast? What harm can it actually bring? I intend to find out. My Review If you are looking for an adrenaline, steamy, roller coaster ride that pack...

Book Review: Holding Out for a Gyro

When it comes to love, it’s all Greek to her…in this delightfully funny and lively romantic comedy that’s bound to be a hit for fans of Kate Clayborn or Lynn Painter. If you’re really lucky, you have a best friend who pushes you to do the stuff that scares you. We have this whole thing where we challenge each other to take some (calculated) risks and do everything we’re terrified to do. Of course, when you avoid love at all costs, that means doing the  being vulnerable . So for one night, I’m going to be completely and brutally real about who I am…to a complete stranger, whose mischievous and ridiculously dark eyes promise  all  kinds of trouble. I’ll open the darkest corners of my soul to him. I’ll admit I run from love. That I believe in mind-blowing sex, not soul mates. Hell, I’ll even tell him  why . The problem is that instead of running screaming—the way I (and any level-headed commitment-phobe) would—the hot Greek guy is actually  intrigued . I sho...

Book Review: The Devil in Disguise

Image
Garett Unhinged. Obsessive. Possessive. Stalker. The words others would probably use to describe me. But I’m not. I’m not unhinged. I’m not crazy. Obsessive? Possessive? Very much so. But what’s love if not a burning obsession for another? I’m absolutely obsessed with her and even though she doesn’t know it yet, we’re meant to be. And after this she’ll be mine and everything that’s wrong will be right. Celeste Girls like me don’t live fairy tale lives with happily ever afters. I’ve learned to be aware, to be cautious, to keep everyone at a safe distance. But what if things are more fun in the darkness? When a masked stranger shows up in my life and turns it upside down I decide that maybe it’s time I throw caution to the wind and let myself free fall into the unknown. But is sinning with the Devil really a good idea or will he drag me down to Hell? My Review I thought Garett was unhinged but Luke is "extra". He has a foot or two above Garett. However, you combine these two ...

Book Review: The Devil Himself

Image
The Devil Himself by BB Easton is now live!  From the  Wall Street Journal  bestselling author of  44 Chapters About 4 Men  (inspiration for the hit series  Sex/Life  on Netflix) comes the highly anticipated sequel to her dark Irish mafia romance,  Devil of Dublin . Growing up, I spent every night tucked under my mother’s arm, dreamily listening to tales from her favorite book series—Legend Has It by Darby Donovan, a collection of spooky folklore about a town called Glenshire and the lonely, gray-eyed fairy prince who haunted the woods there. I knew they were just stories, but when my mother died and left me in the care of my cold, abusive father, that fictional fairy prince suddenly became very, very real to me. It was as if he was always there, hiding in the shadows, offering me his silent comfort. I turned him into an imaginary friend when I needed one most. And thirteen years later, I’m doing it again. When my coastal Irish town is bomb...
