The rich and famous, Dominic Cross-Calvert is getting married at the hotel. When Tara learns who the marriage party is, she about loses it. Dominic and Tara used to be an item. Things will be just fine as long as Tara and Dominic aren’t alone together…too late. What else can go wrong? Dev Tyzack is a celebrity. He is a sports hero. He is also the best man. Daisy and Dev hit things off. They are having a great time together. There is just one small problem…Daisy does not take the guests. I guess someone should not tell Daisy than that Dev is a hotel guest. I have become a fan of author, Jill Mansell. I have read many of her books. I must admit that while I do enjoy them for the light-heartedness, the last couple of books were just ok. Staying with Daisy’s renewed my faith in Ms. Mansell. There were so many hilarious moments that I can not p...

Rumor Has It

Image
Tilly Cole has a bad track record of failed relationships. The thing is that they are Tilly’s fault. When she doesn’t want to be with a guy any longer, she pushes them away until they break up with her. After her latest break up, Tilly packs up and moves away. She gets a job as a Girl Friday. Jack Lucas is the most desirable man. All the ladies want him. Luckily for Tilly, Jack wants her. Rumor Has It is the fifth book I have read by Ms. Mansell. While, I liked the light-hearted, jolly tone of this book, it wasn’t one of my favorites. Though, I can say that I still plan to read more of Jill Mansell’s novels as I enjoy them. They are a nice break from the dark, serious, suspense/thriller books I read. The thing I didn’t really care for in this book was all the different characters and story lines there seemed to be. Every character was a main character versus some being secondary. I don’t mind many characters but they all came at me really fast. I didn’t get much time to get to know the...

Millie's Fling

Image
My favorite Londoner, Millie Brady is back in Millie’s Fling. While on a date that is going horribly wrong, Millie meets famous author, Orla Hart. Orla finds Millie intriguing and takes an interest in her. She decides to make Millie the heroine of her next novel. Unfortunately, Orla finds Millie’s love life lacking and plans to help her spice it up with a cast of unique guys. What Orla doesn’t know is that Millie already has her sights set on someone but he hates her guts. At least Millie won’t be alone as she deals with being Orla’s pet project, as she has Hester. Will Millie’s Fling end before it has even started? I first discovered and fell in love with Millie when I read Miranda’s Big Mistake. From than I couldn’t get enough of Millie and her hilarious antics. I don’t know what happened but unfortunately I didn’t experience the same sparkle in Millie’s Fling as I did in the prior novel. Though there were some parts that made me laugh…like the time that Hester went to a salon for so...

Hey it wasn't Miranda's fault that the owner after six weeks all of a sudden decides he wants his missing gloves back. Though some miracle, Miranda's boss Fen Lomax tolerates all of Miranda's antics.
