Book Review: Texas Volume

Just sign on the dotted line… Queenie Running from my problems seemed like a good idea at the time, but staying here in this small little roadside club in Texas is a far cry from where I was last winter. I’m afraid of my sins, but the demon who knows all my flaws is out there searching for me. He’s gone to make sure he’s the only devil in my life. Cole Hunting down my trespasser is a bit of a task when she’s gone out of her way to hide, but a little bit of effort won’t deter me. I’ll remind her why our darkness bloomed so beautifully, and I’ll make sure to remove the rest of her demons in her life while I’m at it. A fast burn, mask play, who hurt you romance. This is part of a series of novellas written based on locations I travel to for book signings. Each book can be read entirely as a stand alone in any order. This the second book for this couple but can be read with or without the first book: Kentucky Volume. If you are here from Rules of Play, this can also be read as the en...

Book Review: Clamps

Image
All’s fair in hate and war… Londyn’s evening takes a detour when she returns to the scene of the party crime to help her friend Cora with some damage control. Taking home a display toy seems like a harmless perk until she decides to use the clamps for some pictures and they turn into two hockey players. Twin hockey players, who turn her world upside down. Ollie and Theo Baez end up on a missing persons list ahead of the next game, and while her friends have chaos going on in their day-to-day lives, Londyn’s got a lot going on with her own. Between the twin hockey gods sleeping in her room, and an over-protective mom how will she ever break this curse? And who’s going to get Cora back for causing all of this? Cursed twin hockey players, stuck in a sentient object romance with a pinch of witchy vibes and bizarre good times. My Review I have been waiting for this book ever since I finished the first. OMG. It is divine. So worth the wait. I love that this newest book in this series i...

Just sign on the dotted line… Hayden Invited to a party with people outside my social circle, I decide to take a step away from my introvert comforts and party with the wild, rich kids who live nearby. I just wanted to go along for the ride and maybe keep my eyes on the approaching storm, but ending up in the trunk like an afterthought wasn’t part of the plan. Keith Nomadic living is a big deal in my line of work, and chasing storms is a fun pastime. I never find wayward college kids though, much less one left in a trunk whose heart beats with the same wild thrill for nature that mine does. When all is said and done, I might just have to make her an offer she’s never had before. My Review This book was giving me "Twister" vibes a little. Just not as intense. This novella is definitely a quickie read. Adrenaline, outcast, and protector = steamy read! I like Keith. He has a kind heart. Instead of taking advantage of the situation Hayden found herself in, he was respectful and...

Just sign on the dotted line… Elizabeth Getting treated like a little girl by my dad always struck a nerve, and it’s made that much worse when his new flavor of the month turns out to be a ditzy twenty-something year old younger than I am. To add insult to injury, my dad thinks he can berate me in front of one of his best friends and make me fall into line. But I’ve never respected my dad enough to obey him, but in the eyes of his best friend I always wanted to be the good girl. Tristan Watching my best friend lay into his daughter isn’t my favorite pastime, and the problem with Elizabeth is she needs a firm hand and a little bit of tough-love discipline to help her stay on track. I don’t think she’s ever met someone who she respects enough to give up control like that, but given a little time and a lot of trust I fully believe we can work through the error of her ways and get her back in her dad’s good graces. If all else fails, she can work on being Daddy’s good girl at my hous...

Book Review: Divided We Rise

The life that I choose is you. Back on their home turf, Jo and Vinny try to slide back into the roles they left behind at Sins & Secrets in Colorado. With a new live-in lover and history weighing heavy on their minds, it’s difficult to shed the memories of the past months and look to the future without a sense of dread. Things in Florida are over, but does that mean everything is done? Stuck between a rock and a hard place when things start to go awry at the club, they have to learn how to integrate Al into their lifestyle without sacrificing parts of him to the cause. It’s hard to bring a death row inmate into intimate quarters and not expect some backlash, but things keep turning worse and worse. When unjust complaints bring issues to the club, and Sterling’s arrival is under scrutiny, can our foursome find happiness, or is their future forever divided? For a club that brought so many people happiness, it seems only fair that it should bring the owners a happy ending too, b...

Just sign on the dotted line... Carmen All I wanted was a wild night in a new state not thinking about what my ex put me through. When a gorgeous, powerful woman takes an interest in me at the club I think I’m in for the night of my life. Arriving at her home to discover that her occasional friend-with-benefits is in town makes the offer all the more sweeter when my new billionaire offers to share me. Reese I like to collect beautiful submissives who are ready to step into my side of wild. Getting a new girl to agree to a contract is one thing, but adding my longtime fling into the mix and having her accept is the kind of dream I live for. Gage brought me a car to part out, and I brought him a lovely little minx to fill our weekend. Gage Dealing with my boss’s problems really isn’t all that bad when it lands me back on Reese’s property, where my dark fantasies come to life. I’ll bend and submit to only her, and if she wants to have a new playmate for the weekend I’m open for anyt...

With her boyfriend refusing to give her what she desires and treat her right, Myla seeks pleasure elsewhere with the coworker she's always hated. After he catches her getting busy after hours at work, David makes her an offer she learns she can't refuse. The rules are different at the BDSM club he takes her to, and she'll learn submission is earned, not given. She'll find out why David hates her boyfriend, and he's right; she will call him Sir. Rules of Play is the first novel in a series of standalone books in the Sins and Secrets BDSM club world. You can read Rules of Play as a standalone or part of the Sins and Secrets World. Trigger warnings include mentions of SA, date rape drugs, BDSM, mentions of abuse, breath play/choking and toxic relationships. My Review You go, Myla! If her douche boyfriend will not take care of Myla's needs, she takes matters into her own hands (literally). A woman has to do what a woman has to do. Luckily, for her, she does not ha...

Book Review: They Came Upon A Midnight Scream

Blood of a virgin, Heart of a Narc, on this Christmas Eve, we’ll ignite a spark. Moira just wanted to spend her Christmas Eve alone, the same sad ritual she’s gone through since arriving in New York to pursue her dreams. But one bad run in with a stagehand and a terrible White Elephant Christmas gift makes this holiday feel like it clawed its way right out of Hell. When she accidentally gets a teeny, tiny bit of blood on her new gag-spellbook, she never expects to summon a demon… or two. Instead of threatening her with peril and horrors beyond her belief, they have different plans for how to spend a cold winter's eve. After all, who says demons don’t deserve a Christmas gift too? My Review Moira never in her wildest dreams or nightmares would have expected to summon not one but two demons. Yule and Killian already share a MM relationship. The addition of Moira brings a new, fun element to their relationship.  I really liked Yule and Killian. If this was an See more images of...

Just one teeny-weeny curse to best a hockey team… After a college party goes awry, five key players mysteriously end up missing under unknown circumstances. Come to find out, things turned tricky when some cursed punch accidentally got on not one, but all five players. Iris wonders if her spell-happy bestie has something to do with it, and she's handed the answer in the form of a packaged, discount item from the adult store. Unfortunately for Lachlan, he's been turned into a buzz buzz toy following the wrath of one very pissed off college girl. Now he not only has to convince a wallflower to use him, but he still needs to learn if he can talk in this form along the way. When Iris learns the ridiculous fine print for the curse, she'll have to decide if she can forgive Lachlan for little more than being a victim of proximity. Once the cursed hockey player learns what happens to her behind closed doors, choosing to forgive him when he's so close to her truths might be mo...

Just sign on the dotted line... Julianne Getting lost in the desert during a sandstorm isn't my idea of fun, and after proving my directionally challenged self needs navigation and MAPS to make it anywhere I inadvertently drive myself directly into an obstacle and do some prickly damage. Luckily for me two drop-dead gorgeous men witness my blunder, and with ongoing flash flood warnings there's no way I'm trying to the party tonight. Magnus Watching her car spiral and slowly crash outside of my colleague's home during a storm is quite the sight. When Julianne has nowhere else to go, we decide to make her an offer she cannot refuse. One night, two men, no strings attached. Asher Making her comfortable is one thing, but when Julianne doesn't shy away from the contract we offer, she'll experience a night she'll never forget. We might like to play with our guests in front of the fireplace in my office, but this little vixen knows how to play back. A fast burn, ...

Book Review: Primed to Hunt

Hate is the only thing I feel for myself… Kimber Aldridge I’ve never regretted using an alias at the club. Working here, sharing the most intimate and pleading parts of myself with people who pass me by, requires a wall. I’ve burned most bridges with people who might want to be friends with the enemy, so when I needed help the last people I thought I could depend on were members of the club. My shame is buried behind the choices I made, all the bad decisions, and putting on a fake persona is the only way I know how to get by. So letting someone have control of me when I sleep? If I let them bring me pleasure when there are no walls, maybe it’ll help make me feel whole again. Rich Jansen As the official supplier for Sins & Secrets, I’ve never actually applied for a membership to the club. I come in as needed, stocking the store with basics and exclusive merchandise, make friends with the members, and travel onward to the next shop before beginning the cycle again each month. O...

Just sign on the dotted line… Vienna Eighteen is just the beginning. Independence is something I crave even if precaution is something I lack. Being a klepto makes me impulsive, and it’s that kind of rash thinking that lands me in a corn maze with a total stranger. But the side of me that craves a kinky release can’t get enough of Darius’ dark obsession. Darius Once every quarter, the OGB endorses a game of Run and Hide in a private corn maze up in Estes Park. Selecting a partner is up to the will of the society's members, and I have yet to pick someone I want to bring back more than once. When I have the chance to bring Vienna onboard, I cannot invite her fast enough. Once an obsession, always an obsession, and once she plays my game she’ll be mine forever. A fast burn, strangers to fuckers, secret society romance where a klepto just needs someone as manic as she is to find a bit of peace.   My Review I have been looking forward to this book ever since it was announced.
