Book Review: Better Daddy

Image
From the Authors of the Mom Coms comes a laugh out loud new series featuring three single dads. Fatherhood has never been so hilarious. Sloane Marie Murphy is the only woman I've ever loved. She's my favorite person, the mother of my child and my soon to be ex-wife. I've been wracking my brain trying to fix my family but when a provision in my late father's trust forces me to move my family and our law practice from New York City to a dump in Jersey I think all hope is lost. She'd rather sign the papers than move with me. Until only one night, turns into two pink lines and now my father's ridiculous trust and the heir she's currently carrying, might just save my marriage. Sloane might not like me at the moment, and she certainly doesn't love our living arrangements, but I'll do anything I can to not only be a  better daddy   but to prove she's the only woman for me. My Review I love a second chance romance. That is what Sloane and Sully's s...

Book Review: Who's Your Daddy

Image
Lola Penelope Caruso is my favorite person to torment. When she’s had enough of me, her freckled cheeks go rosy, her tiny hands ball into fists, and she pulls at her signature tight braid and lets down her long red hair. I thought I'd seen her at her worst when we told her she’d have to move from New York City to a dump in Jersey with our law firm. But then a six-year-old showed up at my office with a note around his neck and my smile on his face, and she had to ask: Who's your daddy? Now annoying her isn’t quite as fun. Apparently my ability to keep plants and fish alive does not mean I’m qualified to raise a child. He's smart and funny, and I'm pretty sure he'll raise me with more success than I can him. Fortunately, we have one thing in common: our infatuation with Lola. Is it possible that she could ever like me as much as she likes him? My Review I loved the Momcom series, so when I heard that there was going to be a Dadcom series, I got so excited. Brittanne...

Book Review: Finding Out

Image
❄️Holiday ⚾️Snowed In ❄️Daughter's Best Friend ⚾️Forbidden Romance Control. That’s where I excel. Everything in my life is rigidly planned, nothing ever takes me by surprise, until her. Wren Jacobs. I swear the woman was put on earth to drive me insane. She's too young, too beautiful, my daughter's best friend, and one of my best friend’s daughters. In other words, completely off limits. And for one weekend she's the art curator assigned to help me pick up my newest painting. My only job is keep my hands off the forbidden woman almost twenty years my junior. Every whisper of daddy Wilson that falls from her lips drives me closer to forgetting my rules and realizing this nightmare might be the fantasy I need for the night. Even if one night could be enough, will everyone finding out destroy it all? My Review This novella has just what you need...age gap, forced proximity, spice, and a guy who will take care of you when Aunt Flo visits.  Tom aka Daddy Wilson and Wren de...

Book Review: The Foul Out

Image
A bad play shouldn’t cause a media meltdown but I’m Kyle Bosco and I’m a competitive jerk. So of course I couldn’t just shut up. Now I must atone for my comments. Somehow that includes working at a daycare with seven year old Piper who thinks I’m her best friend. But Piper is not the one who has me tied up in knots. That job is reserved for Harper Wallace- her mother. Harper is fierce, combative, and an irresistibly gorgeous single mom. If hating me were a sport, she'd be MVP. For reasons I can't tell you, she's completely off limits so I obviously should stay away. But hear me out? I'm a competitive jerk. I’m not the guy that rides the bench. I’d rather go down swinging and foul out than not play at all. My Review What a first impression Harper made on Kyle. Let's just say that she also did not make friends of the Boston Revs or her children, especially Piper. This girl is a walking/talking baseball encyclopedia of knowledge. She knows all of the players stats; I...

Book Review: The Fall Out

✨ Let’s celebrate! It’s release day for THE FALL OUT by @jennibarabooks!  Grab it in KU!   #OneClickHere   https://a.co/d/6gchPOt   Why you need to #ONECLICK this book… ⚾️ Coach's Daughter  💗 Friends to Lovers  ⚾️ Baseball Hero  💗 Grumpy/Sunshine  ⚾️ Animal loving Heroine 💗 One Night Stand Let me tell the story of how I fell in love with a woman who had no idea that we were even dating. The ridiculousness started when she stole my beer, and trust me, my grumpy self doesn’t normally share. But somehow, Avery Wilson is the exception to every one of my many rules.  Unfortunately, I’m not hers. Not only is she the daughter of the Rev’s coach who hates me, she’s also sworn off dating for the year. Little does she know we’ve been doing just that. Sure, she says I’m her friend when we watch romcoms or spend holidays together, but I’m just biding my time until the year is up. With her father against me, and a line of men interested in da...

Book Review: Mother Maker

Image
All I want is one night. One night away from the falling down brownstone filled with my three best friends, a broody billionaire, and our seven children. Oh, and you can’t forget those adorable raccoons. But the universe apparently has other ideas because I get drunk and sleep with the baseball player. Now two little lines turn my escape into a completely new adventure. But we’re just going to co-parent not get into anything serious. No matter how many times I tell Cortney Miller, who is now sharing my bed and watching my every move, that we’re not meant to be, he won’t let go. Is it possible he could be more than just the mother maker? Authors Note: Mother Maker is book two of the Momcoms Series and features an accidental pregnancy romance between a professional baseball player and a fun carefree single mom. Guaranteed to have some laughs with this one bed trope meddling family romcom. My Review I liked Dylan and Cortney as a couple. Cortney sure did not know what he was getting...
