Audiobook Review: Duke

Image
Duke was always a good boy but when an ominous cloud rises out of the darkness something happens that changes everything. "As he lies in his doghouse, he begins to hear the high-pitched humming grow louder and louder until his ears perk up. He slowly stands and cocks his head in the direction of where it is coming from before he emits a low threatening growl. His body stiffens as if to alert his owner of an unknown dangerous presence. However, when the sound becomes almost deafening, he peeks out and sees the huge black cloud circle around his owner’s house." My Review If you like Stephen King and got chills from Cujo, you will want to check out this book. If you want a heightened experience, grab the audiobook. Narrator, Gabrielle Moore does a good job of voicing the audiobook.  There are no winners in this story. What I mean by this is that Duke was a loyal family dog. Unusual circumstances changed Duke. What transpires next is a family changed forever but before the conc...

Book Review: The Circus Is Back

Image
If you thought The Circus was scary, then hold on to your pants because it is about to get scarier, gorier and longer. In the sequel The Circus Is Back, the circus pops up in another small town clear across the country on the eve of Halloween. "As they roll unexpectedly into the next little town, they all feel this immense sense of excitement. For they know all too well that some little boy or girl will soon be their next meal. My Review: If you love creepy circuses that will give you nightmares, then you need to read The Circus and The Circus is Back. Blood will be spilled! I have read both books as they are short and quick reads. I really enjoyed both of these books. I can't get enough of them. At this point I am wondering if anyone can stop the Ringmaster and his posse of demons.  Sheriff Summerton and Deputy Carleson are going to try for sure to get to the bottom of the disappearance of the young children.

Where Everyone Is Welcome But A Few Never Go Home Nothing bad ever happens in the quiet little town of Hope. However, when the circus rolls in one misty morning in late October, everyone decides to go see what they have. Even the Jorgenson family and their 8 year old son Noah head on down to the circus big top, but when it is time to leave he is nowhere to be found. WIth the help of Sheriff Langley, his parents search the premises, but they don't find him. Now that it is closing time, they are forced to leave in hopes that he will come home. Will they ever find him and all the other children that have gone missing from other towns? Find out in The Circus, if what lies beneath the shiny exterior is something darker and far worse than you could have ever thought possible. My Review When M.D. first announced this novella, I knew I had to read it. It is exactly what nightmares are made of. The descriptions of the evil clowns are sinister.  Any circus that comes to town for two d...
