When you find yourself in cowboy heaven... When lonely widow Angela McClure hires a gorgeous hitchhiking cowboy with an affair in mind, she knows they'll have to be discreet: her old-fashioned father and the stern ranch foreman adamantly discourage any interaction between her and the ranch hands. Things can get hot as hell... Despite their attempts at secrecy, the heat between them is undeniable. To divert suspicion, Angela forms a new plan: she'll flirt with all of the ranch hands. Suddenly Angela has a whole stable full of sexy-as-sin cowboys to play with, but only one can win her heart. My Review Angela is driving home when she sees a sexy, tired, cowboy walking along the side of the road. She picks him up. His name is Troy. Angela offers Troy a temporary job as a ranch hand until one of her current ranch hands, Dusty is back on two feet. Angela can't resist a nice set of "buns". Troy has a nice set. Angela can't keep her hands off of them. Y...

My Review It has been a little while since I have read a book in this series. When I saw this book, I thought it was time to jump back into this series. I am so sorry it took me so long to do so. I love these books. The men are sexy as sin and the women are strong, independent women. Together they make a good couples together. Just like Onca and Kim. They are one of my top favorite couples in this series. Who knew that a "hooker" like Onca had a heart of gold. Kim, she was a feisty one. This is why I liked her. She may be small but good things do come in small packages. The storyline for this book was gritty but it did have a happy ending. It was great to see Jack again. She brings the party everywhere she goes. Plus, she always has something witty to say. Rebel is the cat's meow! It is sexy and out of this world a delicious read!   Author Bio: Cheryl Brooks is a former critical care nurse turned romance writer. Her Cat Star Chronicles series includes Sl...

Dax is probably one of the last Zetithian males to not have a mate. This is only because Dax has his eyes on Ava. Funny though as Ava does not seem to be interested in Dax. Zetithian males have the ability to make any woman fall for them that is except for Ava. When Ava hitches a ride on Dax’s ship, Dax may finally have his opportunity to win Ava over. Unfortunately for Dax, Ava is heading back to an old boyfriend. Dax has until they land to try and convince Ava that he is the man for her. Virgin is the latest book in Cheryl Brook’s the Cat Star Chronicles series. I just love every one of these books. I just devour them. Virgin is the cat’s meow! It is purrrfect. It was refreshing to find a woman who did not instantly succumb to the Zetithian male’s charms and aroma. Dax was a surprise. To find a Zetithian male that was more a virgin than the woman he was pursuing. This actually helped as I could picture Dax and Ava making a good couple together. Another surprise was Kot. Kot is a robo...

He was starved, abused, laughed at, and worse of all...used till he couldn't get it up anymore. Lynx's only reprieve was when he was later sold to men but Lynx could never get the sound of women laughing out of his head. Because of his experiences with women. Lynx no longer wants anything to do with them. Bonnie Neurath lives on Terra Minor, where she runs a farm. Bonnie never pictures herself managing a farm. Everything would have been just fine if the man Bonnie was with hadn't run off and left her pregnant and alone. That is ok because Bonnie is through with men for good. Lynx had it all planned out that when he arrived on Terra Minor that he would get a job working a...

I am so thrilled to have gotten the chance to interview author, Cheryl Brooks of the Cat Star Chronicles series. Her third book, Rogue is currently available. I want to thank you for allowing me to interview you. Glad to be here! Can you tell me about yourself? I was born in Louisville, KY, but currently live near Bloomfield, IN. I've been a critical care nurse since 1976, and though I've been writing off and on for most of that time, I wasn't published until this past year. I've been horse crazy all my life (I currently have four of them in the barn), and I also I enjoy gardening, cooking, and playing guitar. What is your favorite indulgence? You mean something other than sex???? That would have to be food. At the top of my list of favorites are cheese, corned beef, and chocolate. What is the craziest thing you have ever done? Never done anything crazy in my life, u...

Last Sunday I featured a review of a new book titled Warrior by Cheryl Brooks. After reading Warrior, I had the chance to ask Cheryl is she would be nice enough to be a guest on my blog and she said yes. Read what she had to say about her her series came alive. Plus if you missed my review you can see it here http://cherylsbooknook.blogspot.com/2008/10/sunday-salon_19.html . HOW THE CAT STAR CHRONICLES ADVENTURE BEGAN By Cheryl Brooks I've had the idea for a science fiction romance rattling around in my head for a long time, but about four years ago, I read a book about a woman who had to pose as a slave to a dominant male. It came close to being the sci-fi romance I'd always envisioned, but all I could think of while reading it was how much more fun would it be if the slave was a man! Then I played the ‘what if’ game. What if that slave was a soldier captured and sold into slavery? What if he was the last of an alien species whose males were so irresistible to women that o...

I want to thank Danielle with http://www.sourcebooks.com/ for sending me this book to review. Tisana is a witch, who has healing skills and the ex-ordinary ability to communicate with animals telepathy. Tisana will always remember the night that Leo appeared in her life. It was a snowy night outside but inside it was sweltering hot. Leo comes from a far away planet made up of a race that has the feline gene as their DNA makeup. Tisana’s friend, Rafe requires Tisana’s help. His sons have been kidnapped. Join Tisana, Leo, Rafe and a whole slew of talking animals as they go on a journey to rescue Rafe’s sons. Warrior is the second book in the Cat Star Chronicles series. It can be read as a stand alone book. I don’t know if having the feline gene helps or if Leo was born blessed but he has a mighty nice sword if you know what I mean. Ok, besides Leo being well-endowed he is also easy on the eyes. I was so pleased to see that Warrior had such a masculine, handsome character as the male l...
