Book Review: Winterstop

In a war between worlds, there can only be one victor.

The fate of the world hangs in the balance.

Despite barely escaping their last encounter with her life, Cassidy Wright will do everything in her power to beat Serenity at her own game. Even if that means teaming up with Roman, the fae who betrayed her. As they race Serenity and her vampires through a deadly cave system, Cassidy isn't sure what's more at stake....her life, or her heart.

But all of that pales in comparison to the pressure Cassidy feels when she learns the shocking truth about her identity...and her role in a battle centuries in the making. Now Serenity is one gem away from completing the sword that will unleash a nightmare of bloodthirsty, rogue fae into the world. Unless Cassidy finds it first.

The stakes have never been higher as failure could doom the fate of both realms. Roman is the only one who can help her, but he’s got an agenda of his own. Can Cassidy trust him in the most important fight of them all—the one that could end the human race?

My Review

Serenity is trying to open the portal. She just needs one last piece to do so. Hopefully this time Cassidy can stop her once and for all. As usual, it will not be easy. This time Cassidy is joined by Roman.

Roman says he wants to help Cassidy to stop Serenity, but I have my reservations about him. He has said this before and set Cassidy and her friends up. So, while I do want to believe Roman, it will take a lot for me to be on his side.

The vibes for this book were a little different than the previous books. This one there is not a lot of fast action happening. It moved a bit slower. This is because Cassidy is not trying to survive in one of Serenity's games. Additionally, it was mainly about Cassidy and Roman this time against Serenity.
