Book Review: A Very Merry Mistake

The sexy, cinnamon roll lumberjack offers me a ride into town, a stay at his cozy cabin, and eventually his bed—all things I can’t refuse.

After several flirty glances and heated mistletoe kisses, we create rules—no strings attached and no falling in love. Agreeing to the impossible might be my biggest mistake yet.

I visited the small town for one reason only—to prove a point to my father.
Now I’ve got a fake boyfriend.
A secret to keep hidden.
And a choice to make that will determine more than just my future.

If you're searching for a spicy holiday romance with a protective cinnamon roll lumberjack and sassy heroine, this book is for you! A Very Merry Mistake is a stand-alone with a sweet as gingerbread happily ever after. This small-town contemporary romance has a dash of grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, secret identity, and tons of Southern goodness. Fade to black is NOT included!

My Review
This is a funny and charming read. It will definitely put you in the holiday mood. I mean how can you resist when the town is Merryville, and the main love interest is called Jake Jolly. The people of Merryville are so kind that I would not want to leave. They reminded me of a Hallmark movie.

It was refreshing that Claire was the grumpy one. Most of the other grumpy/sunshine books I read, it is the guy that is the grumpy one. I found myself laughing several times at Jake's upbeat attitude colliding with Claire's grumpy one. While Jake may be mild mannered, he is not vanilla behind closed doors. He knows how to satisfy a woman. Go Jake.

The only mistake you will make is if you don't pick up a copy of this book to read!
