Marley has been best friends with Flex—who happens to be a sentient pool noodle—since high school. Now, they’re thirty, living in the same apartment complex, and still best friends.
But upon returning from a recent vacation, Flex asks Marley a question that has her sweating in a way that has nothing to do with the Miami temps.
Is she ready to see what foam can do outside of the pool? Especially when he’s flexible, long, and capable of producing a splash even while on land?
My Review
No squeaking in this book. Ok, there was one squeak. Yet, we have foam fingers. I will be imaging this story every time I see a foam finger from now on.
Marley and Flex are best friends. In this story, Flex is transformed already. They share a love of steamy, romance, audiobooks. A casual night in turns into their own romance story.
Sometimes you just need to try new things and see what happens. And occasionally those new things have unexpected pleasant and unpleasant consequences.
What happens when unexpected items you don't notice on a regular basis start noticing you? What do you do when it feels good to not look the other way?
My Review
Beware the water pressure. The sprinkler system has a possessive nature. If you are in the way, you will become its next victim. So, make sure run if you are not the one that the sprinkler system desires. The pool party is a blood bath. While I liked the darker side to this story, I did not form a close connection to the characters.

Stefanie wasn’t expecting Benji, her beach ball from twenty years ago, to come ricocheting down from the closet fully sentient and full with nostalgia.
But after growing incredibly annoyed from the heat, and lack of air Stefanie is left wondering is Benji really here or is this a figment from heat exhaustion?
My Review
After what Steffy and Benji were doing in the pool and for the length of time she spent in the pool, I don't want to swim after her. She was having tons of fun with Benji. Yet, I can't blame her as her husband was not interested in her. Sorry Benji but I do have to say that I would have called you Wilson too after watching Castaway, despite knowing your name is Benji.
This book is a quick read. Benji is better than your favorite bedroom "toy".

And unlike most, she heats up real quickly for you.
And Brandon is about to feel the burn.
After being ignored by his wife Stefanie all morning, Brandon figures he’ll cook her a nice dinner on the brand new propane grill he just purchased.
However, when he goes to start the grill and the shock of Gina being sentient wears off, she starts to entice him.
Brandon tries to stay away from infidelity and stay committed to his marriage, but Gina is saying exactly what Brandon has been wanting to hear from Stefanie all morning.
In this Bounce My Balls counterpart, this isn’t a love story, this is a burning at the stake and Gina’s kept recipes.
My Review
Steffy's husband, Brandon gets what's coming to him. We met Brandon in Bounce My Balls. Nothing hurts worse than a woman's scorn. Brandon will not be missed. You play with fire and you will get burned! I enjoyed this conclusion to this couple. Gina is my woman. You go!
Vera decides to clean her apartment complex's pool, she finds it’s not the only thing that can get dirty.
When Slate transforms into his human form, Vera finds herself questioning reality, especially when her boyfriend Julian shows up.
When it was just getting hot and heated, Slate's jealousy and possessiveness turns it up a whole nother notch.
Will they survive the heat or will they be sucked into Slate’s world permanently?
My Review
Vera thought she had a good boyfriend until she met Slate. Slate has a very possessive side to him. He will not let anyone get between him and Vera. If you want to know what happened to Julian, think of the pool scene in Final Destination 4. This story is a horror romance. I liked it.
