In a war between worlds, there can only be one victor. The fate of the world hangs in the balance. Despite barely escaping their last encounter with her life, Cassidy Wright will do everything in her power to beat Serenity at her own game. Even if that means teaming up with Roman, the fae who betrayed her. As they race Serenity and her vampires through a deadly cave system, Cassidy isn't sure what's more at stake....her life, or her heart. But all of that pales in comparison to the pressure Cassidy feels when she learns the shocking truth about her identity...and her role in a battle centuries in the making. Now Serenity is one gem away from completing the sword that will unleash a nightmare of bloodthirsty, rogue fae into the world. Unless Cassidy finds it first. The stakes have never been higher as failure could doom the fate of both realms. Roman is the only one who can help her, but he’s got an agenda of his own. Can Cassidy trust him in the most important fight of them a...

Book Review: Winterblade

Cassidy Wright and her friends narrowly escaped Serenity's last round of deadly games and the riverside battle with her vampire minions that followed, but there's no time to lick their wounds and rejoice. They need to hide the two fragments of the magical sword they recovered in a place where Serenity will never think to look and concoct a plan to rescue the remaining contestants before it's too late. This time the games take place on a train. This is one trip you don't want to book a ride on.  While Serenity may be in charge, her reign is slipping as The Watchers, ...

As the ancient fae assemble for the third deadly game, the stakes have never been higher. Cassidy Wright remembers arriving in Silvery Pines, Colorado, to pack up the cabin her birth mother left her, staying on to compete in the Winterfest Games, and, of course, Roman, the gorgeous bartender at the Lodge where the games take place. The avalanche that killed some of the competitors, fractured her ankle, and gave her an amnesia-inducing head injury? Not so much. Just a nagging sense of foreboding she can’t quite shake. But when the games resume with a scavenger hunt for ancient relics, Cassidy realizes her unease was justified...and danger lurks in the dark spots in her memory. Serenity, the orchestrator of the lethal games, wants Cassidy dead almost as much as she wants her to unlock the secrets of the hidden relics. Stuck in a game she can’t win and betrayed by the person she trusted most, death is a certainty unless Cassidy can once again tap into the magic just beyond her reach...
