Welcome to Locked In. Where you have to fallen love like your life depends on it. Our contestants will have to fall in love, lock in, and fight through a series of challenges to be the last couple standing. The Reward? A wedding of their dreams and a grand cash prize. The Catch? They don't just have to fall in love with each other. They have to make us fall in love with them too. Our Audience will be the ones to decide who stays locked in and whose journey is cut short. My Review I am a fan of dating reality shows. They are my guilty pleasure. Thus, when I heard about this book from Katelyn, I knew I had to read it. It did not disappoint. This book was giving me Perfect Match vibes. The tv show hosted by Nick Lachley on Netflix. I binge watch this show and just like the show, I binged read this book so fast.  Alex is fine as the host of Locked In but he is no Nick Lachley! I love Courtney. She is keeping it real. She and I would be best friends. Another person that I loved i...

Book Review: Deliverance

Image
Being a member born into a secret society is nothing like what you would expect. Our world is dripping in diamonds and gilded in gold, but it’s also built atop the blood and bones of innocents. The wronged and the shamed haunting this town, this world, this society. Maggie Bartlett had accepted the fact that she would never have control over her destiny. That she would always be a puppet in their play. A queer woman in a Puritan man’s world is one of the most dangerous things to be. But what good is life without a little danger? In a society where everything comes at a price, the real question is...what are you willing to lose in the pursuit of your Deliverance? My Review I actually had not read the Gallows Hill trilogy. So, I did not have an established relationship already or at least a partial familiarity with Maggie and Bridgette.  In the beginning I did not like Bridgette. She was a mean girl for sure. Yet, as the layers slowly got peeled back and I got to see the "real...

Loyalty A few months ago, I would have said it’s one of my only redeeming traits. But now… My best friend is in love with his girl, his ex girl. He’s determined to win her back at any cost and at first, I was happy for him. I just didn’t know that I’d want her for myself, but I do. Keeping my distance gets harder each time. She’s the one thing I can’t have, yet I can’t stop reaching for her. Betrayal. They say the worst kind doesn’t come from your enemies but from those closest to you. My Review I became first introduced to author, Katelyn and her writing when I read Jagged Harts. That book was a really good slow burn romance. Yet, this newest release is smoking HOT! It is my favorite between the two books.  Love that Erica was a bit of a tomboy. In this same breath she did not realize how desirable she truly was. This made the story even better as each guy showed Erica just how much she meant to each of them. Those are some sizzling scenes. In the end, the right guy got the...
