Book Review: Violence and Vice

I came back different. Not born, but made. Stronger. Sharper. Maybe I should be devastated by the choice that was made for me. Instead, I feel powerful. Capable. Invincible. But nothing about this new life matters if I can’t find Ares. He’s unraveling—slipping into darkness, losing time, and leaving blood in his wake. The man I love is becoming something monstrous, and no one knows how to stop it. But I swear I will. Even if I have to tear apart everything else in my life to bring him back. New enemies are closing in, and the streets I’ve always called home are starting to feel like a targeted minefield as history repeats itself. This world is so much bigger than I ever realized, its shadows darker, its origins more sinister. But it’s the betrayals that cut the deepest—the ones I never saw coming. In a blood-driven system of power, politics, and predators, love may not be enough to save us all. My Review I have followed Ares and Lana's journey since book one. It has been filled w...

Book Review: Vicious and Volatile

Augustus sold me to a monster. Now I’m his to feed on, a prisoner in a nightmare I can’t escape. But Ares is coming for me. I know it in my soul. Ruthless and unstoppable, his devotion is as savage as the man himself. He will burn the world to the ground to bring me back. Simply surviving this isn’t enough—there are secrets to unravel, lives to save, and ghosts of the past that refuse to let go. My Review After the cliffhanger ending in book one, I needed to know what happens next. This book pretty much picks up from book one. Talk about horrible fathers. Ares's father is evil. Yet, Ares's love for Lana is stronger.  The bond between Lana and Ares has grown even stronger. There are just a few steamy moments featured in this book. This time it is more about the progression of the story and Ares and Lana...

There are vampires in New York City. Turns out, they’re everywhere. I went in to find my best friend. Ophelia disappeared without a trace after going to one of those elusive  Red  parties. Turns out Red parties are where vampires feed on willing humans, and where some people vanish, never to be seen again. I went to that party for answers. What I found was a dangerously gorgeous vampire with tattoos, piercings, and a legacy as dark as the shadows he moves in—Ares Hunt. He insists I'm in way over my head. Maybe I am. But when I refuse to give up without a fight, Ares makes a he’ll help me find Ophelia, but in return, I have to pretend to be his fiancée so he can infiltrate his father's inner circle. His father, a powerful vampire, is at the heart of these  Red  parties, and Ares is desperate to bring him down. Suddenly, I’m living in a world I barely understand—wearing a massive engagement ring, sharing a penthouse with Ares, and mingling with the vampire elite...
