Book Review: Built to Last

So when her stepsister connects her with a temporary nannying job, Tiana takes it. Even if it means living under the same roof as the grumpy single dad who looks at her like she is his next bad decision.

The plan is simple: Save the money. Keep her heart out of it.

But Griffin is rigid, overprotective, unfairly attractive, and impossible to ignore. His son starts to feel like home, his house becomes harder to leave, and the anonymous stranger making Tiana smile in her DMs may not be such a stranger after all.

Griffin tells himself Tiana is too young for him and too much of everything he has spent years denying himself.

But Tiana has a way of slipping past every rule he makes.

And the longer she stays, the harder it becomes to remember why falling for the nanny was supposed to be a mistake.

My Review

If you are a sucker like me for single dad romances, than, you are going to want to pick up this book. Griffin is a great dad. His son is adorable. Cute kids are my weakness, and they always steal the scenes they are in. This is the case with this book. The interactions between Griffin's son, Sylas and Tiana are special.

Griffin is grumpy but when you hear his backstory and the grief he experienced, you understand why. Props to him for putting his son first. The slow burn romance between Tiana and Griffin is nice. It felt more natural this way. In addition, that it allowed me to form a closer bond with them. 

This is a charming, sweet read. Engaging characters with an emotional storyline. Grumpy/sunshine romance.
