Monkey was reading a book, when Jackass (donkey) asked him what he had in his hands. Monkey told him it was a book. Donkey was quite puzzled. Donkey proceeded to ask Monkey questions like…does it scroll down? do you blog with it? can it text? Tweet? Etc. Monkey at this point was irritated with Donkey. Monkey put the book in Donkey’s hands and showed him it was a book. Donkey finally understood what a book was. It’s a bird, it’s a plane, its superman…No, It’s a Book! It’s a Book is a witty, fun, smart, comical…book. With all the new, fancy electronic technology at our fingertips today, Mr. Smith reminds us that sometimes it is nice to just read a plain, old fashion book. Yes, I am talking about one that you actually pick up, open and turn the pages. The concept for this book was great. I like that it was geared towards modern times and what is currently happening now in the present. The illustrations were good as well. Both children and adults will like this book.
