Book Review: Unbound

When Harriet discovers her best friend in tears over a man who ghosted her, she decides to give him a taste of his own medicine. She's been burned way too many times to believe in love or happily ever after and knows exactly how the game works. Men always want what they can't have. The goal was simple. Make him fall in love with her then rip his heart out. But after one night, it's obvious walking away won't be as simple as she expected. Not that he knows that. She has him right where she wants him, ruthlessly pursuing her–unable to get enough. But he's not the only one wanting something he can't have. One thing's for certain... neither of them is ready for the casualties of the war. My Review What these two shared may have started out as revenge but it blossomed into so much more. Who knew that Harriet had it in her to be so wild. It was funny to watch Pacey be the one falling for Harriet. Pacey and Harriet's on again, off again, and finally on again

SHE’S A MAD HATTER by SJ Ransom is 𝑵𝑶𝑾 𝑨𝑽𝑨𝑰𝑳𝑨𝑩𝑳𝑬!! READ TODAY! books2read.com/ShesAMadHatter Add to Goodreads: She's A Mad Hatter Maddie: I'm not a psycho. I have a rhyme and reason for what I do. Maybe it's against the law. I don't care. Besides, I'm the judge and executioner here in Wonderland, Texas. That is, until my brother's best friend takes up for me. Loves me. Now I'm not sure I can continue my mission. Drew: I'm a detective of the Wonderland Police Department. The Mad hatter is on the loose. My attention isn't on the case. No, it's on my best friend's little sister. She's trouble. Trouble, I want to get lost in. But can I keep her safe and love her at the same time? My Review So, this story may take place in Wonderland and Maddie is the Mad Hatter but that is all of the similarities that this book has with Alice in Wonderland. I am fine with this factor as it allowed me to imagine a more modern, gritty world for t

Book Review: The Green

Image
My Review If you like Marvel and DC Comic superhero movies than you need to check out this book. I definitely was getting the superhero vibes. Although, my mind was instantly thought of the television show Gotham. This was a good show.  Back to the book. The superhero vibes and the time period both worked so well together. I love that Josephine was a main character. It is nice to see a female lead, especially in a detective role. She meets her match with Arlen. He is an interesting character.  The story does get interesting; especially with the fact that with the appearance of the green mist, it changed people. I look forward to reading book two and seeing how this story progresses.

Book Review: Christmas Redemption

If love is a gift, then Riggs Copeland is my very own Santa Claus. We met in college, where he swept me off my gullible, naïve little feet. His charm had stolen my senses away, and I couldn’t resist him. He is, without a doubt, the most deliciously attractive man I have ever laid eyes on. I had been fantasizing about his dreamy green eyes and his body of pure perfection, so imagine my surprise when he asked me out on a date. The intensity of his gaze sent shivers down my spine and set me on fire, and I fell head over heels, fast. But suddenly, he was gone, without even saying goodbye. No phone call. No text. What the F**k is wrong with him.? Who does that? That was ten years ago, and I haven’t heard back from him, until today. He strolled right back into my life, asking me to be his brother’s lawyer. You can imagine my surprise to see those naughty, devilish green eyes dance with sheer delight when he saw me across my desk. Our attraction hasn’t changed. He's still hot as hell wi

Book Review: Burn It Down

Cooper- There was a time in my life when I allowed myself too much. Too much booze, too much partying, just… too much. Four years ago I pulled myself away from it all, and have been living a life with very little indulgence since. But something about this gorgeous, sweet firefighter makes me want to give in to everything he has to offer. With the threat of a dangerous arsonist out there, it’s my job to stop them. When I discover he may be connected to it all, will we be able to survive? Or will our newly ignited relationship go up in flames? Tatum- I’m a man who needs control. Book Review: His Pretty Little Queen

Image
Clay Butcher is twice my age, the ruthless, controlling Don of the Cosa Nostra, and the man hunting my father. He is my protector. He took me in when I was an orphan—broken. Spoils me, punishes me, and holds me accountable. He is my everything. Clay calls me his little deer, his queen, his sweet girl, but what am I besides his? Can I really ever be his ally when I’m his enemy’s daughter? And when the time comes for him to take his bloody revenge, whose ashy grave will I stand on? Can I be his pretty little queen? His Pretty Little Queen needs to be read after His Pretty Little Burden and is part of The Kids of The District series. It has a happily ever after. It features a powerful Mafia Don, and his endearing tortured little heroine. His Pretty Little Burden has an age-gap dynamic that some people may find uncomfortable. It is an epic love story with word steam, violence, gore, and drama. Enjoy. My Review After reading His Pretty Little Burden, I have been so ready to read this conc

Book Review: Slashers & Secrets

Image
Secrets are meant to be buried, until they aren't. And Lakyn Ashford has the biggest secret of all. She thought she could get away with it. She should've known better. I'd never allow her to escape so easily. There is nothing more enjoyable than witnessing her crumble as I taunt her, trick her, and toy with her sanity. Watching her fall apart is a game I'm destined to win. I take my time with her, picking her apart, piece by piece, until she's at my mercy. The smile behind my mask grows as she fears the slasher in Hellcrest Heights. She pretends to be afraid of me, but at night, she falls to her knees as she bends to my will. And I have only just begun. I know Lakyn Ashford's biggest secret. It's me. Slashers & Secrets is a full-length novel and book one in a duet. This book contains mature language, themes, and content that may not be suitable for all readers. Reader discretion is advised. My Review When I learned about this book a few months ago. I c
