Book Review: Salvation is Created

Image
A prisoner. Forced to endure unspeakable evils. A victim. Beaten and broken. Used and abused. A sister. Submitting if only for her sake. Salvation is Created. A single line that changes everything. A woman. With nothing to lose. An empty shell. Except for her rage. A short story on feminine rage. This is a companion to the Fractured Puppets series. It is an MFM. My Review I really enjoyed this short story. It may be short, but it packs a punch. Having read Cut Her Strings and Drop His Mask, the other books in the Fractured Puppets world, I appreciated this book more. Not really necessary but I would read this book between the two. There is a particular scene in this book that ties to Cut Her Strings. In fact, reading this book renewed my interest to go back and re-read Cut Her Strings. Sofia endures a horrific ordeal. Yet, I love that she did not lose her fighting spirit. She got her revenge. The appearance of Viktor and Niko are great. I want more of these three. I can't wait to...

Book Review: Gaming with the Gargoyle in Hallow's Cove

Image
Nothing says best friends forever like a pregnancy pact... Being a widow is the best thing that’s ever happened to Gwen. Except to keep her game store, she needs a baby–specifically, an heir. She must be rolling with advantage though, because her gargoyle best friend just happens to be her dead husband’s half brother. Keeping things platonic will be hard, but after her critical fail with her first husband, can she trust her own insight? Between leading his group through untold perils in the dungeon and helping friends navigate their own issues, Gabe’s usually rolling high on intellect… but his lifelong feelings for Gwen had always left him rolling low. Charisma has never been his highest stat, but does Gabe have the initiative to show Gwen that he's worth risking her heart? He can certainly try. Two best friends, the adventure of a lifetime, and one pregnancy pact with a deceptively low difficulty rating. Will they be able to add +1 to their party and their hearts, or have they b...

Book Review: Ludovico's Vengeance

Image
Fifteen years ago, I severed ties. I walked away from the nightmare that was my family name. I started over, built a life for myself. But when a woman I could never have needed me, I did the only thing I could. I embraced my name and the darkness that came with it. Now I’m back, running the bloody business inherited through generations of Ludovico’s. Murdering, corruption… every day I’m back my soul becomes blacker with each sin. Until her. Nina belongs to me now, after being kept a prisoner in her father’s gilded cage. She’s beautiful, perfect, and too innocent for the terrors of my past. But that won’t stop me from making her mine in every way. My Review As soon as the story started and I read of the betrayal Giovanni's grandfather did to him, I felt for him. I felt an instant connection to Giovanni. Then when I met Nina and learned of her back story, that same instant connection was there as well.  It is always a good sign when I can connect to the characters fairly early...

Book Review: Space Daddy's Guide to the Galaxy

Image
Ziggy I should have known my scientifically-minded, superpowered Earthling would find a way to permanently attach himself to my borrowed heart. Since Micah Salah  is  the most impressive creature in all the galaxies. He’s my stellar collision, my babygirl, my equal in all things, and the only one who truly knows me and all my secrets. Well… most of them. There’s a secret I’ve been hiding from my mate—an unexpected desire for  more  in this relationship that I am in  no  rush to bring to a session with Dr. Micah. Unfortunately, our quick rescue mission has turned into protecting a mysterious child while evading enemies we can’t seem to identify. To add insult to this glorified babysitting assignment, I find myself growing  attached  to the tiny intruder, further complicating the emotions I’ve been doing my best to ignore. Breathe, Ziggy. It will all be over soon enough. — Micah Ziggy Andromeda is acting squirrely. Squirrelier than usual, tha...

Book Review: The Tales of The Scorned

Image
There are four different volumes of these charity anthologies. I read the following stories from volume two and four.   Vibes by H.N. DeFore Wiccan beliefs and mentions of witchcraft,
Sentient object romance,
Cursed men,
Unique revenge plot,
Open door sex (for all the smutty goodness), CLIFFHANGER ending with a HFN femme revenge plot, and a romance plot coming in the fall of 2025 I am already a fan of H.N. I love her books. This short story is sinfully delicious. Um, like I am going to need more as I need to know what happens to  Iris and Lachlan. Does Lachlan finally learn his lesson and what about the other men.  Doe Eyed by Karlee Berrios Doe Eyed contains graphic material, including explicit violence and gratuitous smut.  It contains possibly triggering content, specifically violence and murder (he deserves it), allusion to more murder, and brief mentions of rape and assault. Doe Eyed does not include any graphic on-page sexual violence, but it ...

Book Review: No, You Hang Up

Image
It was just a joke. Just A prank call. After surviving a miserable week with my family, I needed something to lift my spirits. My two best friends thought a late-night movie binge—one of those stupid, loud ones we used to have as teenagers—was the answer. Reluctantly, they talk me into revisiting our old prank call habit. After all, what could possibly go wrong? It’s all fun… until it isn’t. It’s all harmless… until it isn’t. The moment he picks up, I know something’s off. He doesn’t just play along—he seems to know exactly what we’re doing. Before he hangs up, he promises me he’ll give me what I’m looking for. He says I want attention, and he knows just what kind. When my friends leave, I should be alone. But I’m not. And now, I prank calls have consequences. No, You Hang Up  is a standalone, MF dark romance. It is  extremely  dark, with many themes and ‘games’ many readers may not enjoy. It does contain a  Happily Ever After  and does not end on a cliff...

Book Review: Taming the Heart

Image
In this steamy age-gap, forbidden-love cowboy romance for fans of Lyla Sage, Bailey Hannah, and Elsie Silver, a free spirit finds herself working for a former pro bull rider... who has secrets behind those ocean-deep eyes. Being hired by a ranch for the summer sounds picture-perfect, right? Except your new boss looks a whole lot like every fantasy and daydream you’ve ever had come to life—oh, and he’s already accidentally seen your favorite ‘toy’. I’ve always been the hyper-independent free spirit. Sage Maloney, the wild child. The eldest daughter, with my heart locked away safely out of sight. I had a summer of fun ahead of me. Only, I didn’t count on a former pro bull rider to stride into my life. Beau Heartford. The much older cowboy with a mustache to go weak at the knees for. He’s a whole package of temptation. Someone who lures me in with glimpses of what it might be like to let my guard down… to be taken care of. My married boss. Summer days rapidly turn scorching in this ...

Audiobook Review: Rebellion

Image
My past is best kept hidden. Buried deep inside so I can keep up my disguise. My mask. My veil hiding my truth from the rest of the world. But as hard as I try to protect my new partner from the truth,  he eventually breaks down my walls,  forces himself into my heart, and drives us both crazy with need. Want. Desire. Our passion is fueled by destruction. Our chemistry interferes with our every move. Defeated by my growing love for him, my mystery soon starts to reveal itself.  But there is one secret I don’t tell him. One truth I try to keep hidden. There is only one problem. He’s just as broken as me. And together, we just might meet our end. My Review I loved this book when I read it. Yet, getting to listen to the audiobook, is a next level experience! The narrators, Bradley Ford and CJ Bloom did amazing bringing the voices Dylan and Brittany. A must listen! This book is a good conclusion to this series. If you have read all the books in this series like I hav...
