Book Review: The Wrong Brother

Image
She’s the bride-to-be. He’s the wrong brother. Their instant hate sparks a fire neither can extinguish. Beatrice Wrong crashes into Noah King’s world, tripping over his designer bag and igniting  instant  hatred. Sparks fly, but not the good kind. As her fiancé’s brother, Noah is off-limits, yet every biting insult and heated glare fans a dangerous flame. From Tahiti’s shores to tense corporate New York, their banter turns venomous around every corner. And it sets everything on fire when she starts working for him as  his assistant  because  no one else  can survive the hurricane of Noah King. This is a true slow burn, instant enemies-to-lovers, workplace, forbidden romance, duel POV will set your heart on fire. My Review Ariana does it again. She had me from the first moment when Bea tripped over Noah's luggage. This book may be a slow burn romance, but it was insta love at the first page for me! The only thing that would be "wrong" about this book ...

Book Review: Tale of the Deceived

Image
“The blood will spill, The blood will flow, The blood will be the end of all.” I was human when the Gates fell and the war started. But ever since, I don't know what I am anymore. What I do know is that I possess a precious bargaining chip—my blood. And everyone wants a drop of it: vampires, werewolves, and faes. The only one who seems to see me as more than just a blood bag is the worst of them all: a vampire with haunting eyes, incapable of any emotions other than blinding rage. My sudden obsession with this mysterious loner is fearsome, but our connection is unexplainable—a recipe for disaster on my secret quest. Throw in a werewolf who hates my guts and his younger brother with puppy-like behavior, and my mission to survive in the New World becomes increasingly messy. He fears the memories his blood might show me. I fear them too. My Review Tale of the Deceived is Ariana's newest endeavor into the paranormal world. She pulls it off. Although, I did not doubt her as I love...

“I want to get you out of my head the only way I know how.” The only thing Kayla’s ever wanted has been to get the hell out of Little Hope. She’s never fit in with the traditionalism of the small town and its judgmental citizens, and her family’s bad reputation continues to precede her. All she’s ever wanted has been to leave… and maybe— just maybe —for Justin Attleborough to notice her. But—unfortunately for her—the only time he ever acknowledges her is to call her trailer trash and never let her forget her status as the town pariah. All Justin wants is to wipe  that night  from his memory. The night that changed so many lives. But that’s easier said than done, especially when one of the biggest reminders of  that night  is always shamelessly walking her leather-clad legs around Little Hope. But—unfortunately for him—the one thing he wants more than to erase it from his mind is her. A seemingly good boy and a seemingly bad girl. What do they have in common? W...

Book Review: Haunted Hearts

Image
This slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers, contemporary romance is standalone, featuring an ex-military guy/jerk with a severe case of PTSD and anger issues and a woman on the run from her troublesome past. The steam level is boiling (eventually). Their life isn't easy, so some profanity is present. Has triggers (see above). It can be read as it is, but better if enjoyed as part of the series. Each book contains a story about a different couple.  Sometimes looks can fool you. But sometimes, they can’t. The only thing Alex ever wanted was to be left alone in his secluded cabin, away from people who judge him for the scars he wears as a badge of dishonor. He got used to living with it along with severe PTSD from his years in the Navy. And he likes it just like that:  alone and quiet. The only thing Freya wants is to get her car fixed and get the hell away from Little Hope, where she got stuck thanks to a popped tire and “helpful” locals. Unfortunately, those friendly citizens of ...
