Book Review: Shockproof

✩💙✩ NEW RELEASE ✩💙✩ Shockproof A Friends to Lovers Forced Proximity Bodyguard Romance: The Shatter & Shock Duet #2: Haworth Enterprises By Xavier Neal Goodreads:   https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/197465450/ Hosted by DS Book Promotions   AMAZON   https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CG6NS3FH/ My Review This book picks up after Shatterproof. I really enjoyed this book much more. This is because there was pure action and Arley and Slater were more comfortable with each other. The witty banter still continued. I love Arley's family, especially her father. Slater took all the grilling questions like a professional and got her father's approval.  The spice was turned up in this book but like I said before so was the action. Arley did win me over and she is one tough cookie. She is a good partner with Slater. Their love is evident. We also get to discover who is trying to kill Arley. There is an HEA.      Start the Duet here: Shatterproof #1 ...

Book Review: Kismet

Is it possible for someone to actually fuck your brains out? Because Tracey hasn’t made a single sane decision since she began sleeping with Mitch. The sexy and charismatic advertising executive who just so happens to be her boss. When Mitch ends the forbidden situationship, Tracey is left unemployed, single and at a crossroads. In this choose-your-own erotic adventure, help Tracey broaden her horizons and find herself. And maybe she will find another man along the way. My Review I grew up on choose your own adventure books. I can remember sitting for hours on the library floor in front of the choose your own adventure book section and just reading book after book. Now a days I read mostly romance, so to have a combination of these two genres, I had to read this book. Not disappointed.  When it comes to Trac...

Book Review: CurVy Forever

Image
I'm Vallie, but not to the Vaughn brothers. Donnie calls me Pup, Tyler loves me as his Vallie Baby, And Dexter’s name for me is Baby Girl… So there I was, just minding my own business, creating TikToks for my followers about masked men who kidnap the girl and make all their dark fantasies come true, when Donnie and his insane twin brother decided to break into my home and do just that… Destroy me. I didn’t ask for this… Did I? DISCLAIMER: This is the second book in the Curvy 13 Playlist and needs to be read after book one. It is not a standalone. My Review Wow, the first book was full of spice but this one is full on smutty goodness! I devoured this novella in a matter of a few short hours. After the cliffhanger ending, I needed to know what was going to happen to Donnie and Tyler.   In the first book, Donnie was kind of running the show and Tyler was the silent one. Yet, he had a reason for being silent and when it was revealed my heart broke for him. In this book, for...

Book Review: Santa's Magical Reindeer + Giveaway

Image
Book Description: Right after Thanksgiving is the busiest time of year for Santa and his crew of eight famous reindeer! Every year, the Famous Eight sleigh team from the North Pole eagerly helps Santa by going on a quest to find kids who believe in Christmas magic. In  Santa’s Magical Reindeer: Becoming Pen Pals , Prancer, Vixen, and Dasher go on an adventure in search of eager pen pals. On their journey, they find three rambunctious girls who eagerly exchange letters with them and become lifelong friends. My Review This is a sweet read. I as a child did write to Santa but the idea or being pen pals to his reindeer is a fun idea. This actually made me think back to when I was younger and participated in a pen pal program. It was fun to write to someone in another country and get a letter back.  Dasher, Vixen, and Prancer are very excited to find their pen pals this holiday season. They search and come across three sisters, Kylie, Rinnie, and Kenna. They write to the sis...

Book Review: Nikolai Petrov

Image
Nikolai: I lost my wife nearly a decade ago in a brutal act of retaliation from a rival family. My years of solitude were spent bathing in the blood of revenge until a tentative peace was made. It's only after the daughter of my best friend sneaks into my life that I learn how thin that cease-fire really is. She may be what I need to heal, but will it be at the cost of my empire? *Please note this portrays dark portions of humanity - for a complete list of potential triggers, please visit the author's web page at www.macobb.com My Review Yes, yes, yes! That is my first thought after reading this novella. My second thought is ...Daddy Nikolai! I am so excited to read all these novellas about the Petrov Family. If they are half as steamy as this one, I am in for a real treat.  The way that Nikolai protected Natalia is HOT. He unlived people for touching her and crossing him. Natalia made the right choice in running from her evil family. What she found with Nikolai is what us ...

Book Review: Shrike

Image
After the events of Albatross (the kidnapping, Isla's real identity, a gruesome murder— he definitely deserved it, but still) left everyone reeling, Shrike picks up right where we left off with Isla, Fritz, and Caspian struggling to find answers. And a certain missing redhead. The introduction of Eamon and his Arcana Militum changes everything, giving them the upper hand needed to rescue Bel. But does he have to irritate Isla every step of the way? Yes. Of course, he does. Even if they manage to free Bel, the things she's seen will stay with her forever, the consequences of someone else's sins weighing her down once again. Not only will Bel transform, both inside and out, but every one of them is irrevocably changed through the events of Shrike, for better or worse. Try as they might, there's no back to normal for any of them. The only thing they can hold onto is that through it all, they have each other. Shrike is book two in the Birds Of Prey Duology, a duet about u...

Book Review: Viktor

Image
She was supposed to be my enemy, but I couldn't resist her. My mother was murdered ten years ago from a rival family. I was relocated to Los Angeles to help run my fathers business. One night I punished a man who stole from me. Then I saw his sister, Amaia. I’m supposed to hate her too, she shares blood with those who killed my mother. But she became my obsession instead. I try to keep the truth of her family from her, but when it comes to a war, where will her loyalty lie? With a family that abandoned her or will she choose me after what I did? Betrayal is the ultimate sin after all. My Review Don't let Amaia fool you as she is feisty. That is why Viktor "Loved" her. Yes, the "L" word. He may not have wanted to admit it at first, but Amaia got to Viktor in a good way.  Viktor sneaking into Amaia's room while she was sleeping and doing things! Besides being a hardened killer, he has a Jacob's Ladder. Each time with Amaia just got more intense. Yet,...

Book Review: Gollitok

Image
Description In a post-nuclear Eastern Europe, Hammel E Varka departs for a remote island to join a survey team cataloguing the abandoned Gollitok prison in the hopes that he will redeem his family’s tarnished reputation. After the passage across the strait leaves a team member injured, Varka quickly realizes that this survey is far from routine and that what he thought he knew about the island was a cover for more horrifying truths. As his team presses deeper into the decaying facility, hidden agendas splinter the team, and they find themselves beset with dangers beyond their worst nightmares. My Review I wanted to "love" this book but only ended up liking it. I could see elements of it being a really good book. What I craved was to have my adrenaline pumping and goose bumps on my arms. What I was expecting was more gore and horror but got a more mysterious, slower build up. The author wrote it in this way as to mess with your mind. While I did have so many thoughts and the...

Book Review: The Nice List

Image
There are two types of people in the world. The first believe the Christmas season begins at exactly midnight on November 1st. The other would willingly accept coal in their stocking if it meant they didn’t have to hear “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” ever again. Bennett Winters hates Christmas. November and December are the most stressful months of the year at Merry & Bright—the family-owned tree and caribou farm he’ll inherit one day. Which is why, it’s a surprise even to him when he agrees to go to a Sexy Santa-themed party with his best friend Clara—the self appointed queen of all things holly and jolly. But then again, he never really can say no to Clara. Clara Ivy loves everything about Christmas. So, when her college roommate throws an early November holiday party, Clara goes above and beyond when it comes to her attire. Bennett’s jaw all but goes to the floor when he sees his quirky best friend in a tight red bodysuit that leaves very little to the imagination. After years ...
