Book Review: The Art Collector & The Siren's Song

Image
A quiet art historian. An irresistible demon. And an insatiable hunger neither can escape. Madelyn Frye enjoys her simple, drama-free life, even if it means there's an empty seat next to her on the couch at night. But when her firm lands a lucrative contract to appraise the paintings of an infamous mansion with a storied past, her comfortable routine is upended by the handsome and mysterious millionaire who owns it. For over a century, Thomas von Dreiss has resigned himself to a solitary fate, refusing to let his hunger transform him into a monster. But he never expected the art appraiser who shows up at his door to test his unshakable restraint. Her brilliant mind and kind heart rekindle long forgotten hopes and set his carnal needs aflame. Will Madelyn risk shattering her safe and predictable world to be with Thomas? And if she does, will Thomas's dark secret destroy their chance at a happily ever after? My Review What a lovely story. For a novella, this was a full story. I

Book Review: It's Just Business

You know the saying, the enemy of my enemy is my friend? Well, the enemy of my ex is my rebound. They're both rich and powerful and have a debt to settle in the wealthy circles of NYC. Then there's me... the naive girl trying to make it in this city, pissed off and seemingly a willing pawn. It was supposed to be one night to get over one man by getting under another. Then one thing led to another, and it all spiraled out of control. It was never supposed to go this far. I was never supposed to fall for him. And he was never supposed to risk it all for me. My Review This is a slow burn romance. After the first spicy scene between Raven and Dylan, I wanted more. The time between the next scene was too long in my opinion but it was worth the wait. Once, these two gave in and crossed the line from "professional" to "personal", it was game on. I would not have minded "getting under" Dylan! I love that Raven was respected for her intelligence. She work

Book Review: Pretend for Me

I botched a broody billionaire’s haircut, and what did he ask from me in repayment? That I become his fake fiancée! In my defense, my new migraine meds had packed quite the drowsy punch that morning. One minute I was trimming his GQ-worthy locks, and the next, I'd given him a side shave that would make a Marine jealous. Fast forward through a ticked-off Dev Menon storming out of my salon, threatening legal action, and I’m thinking the day couldn’t get worse. Except, it does . . . Dev returns hours later with a wild proposition: “Marry me. Temporarily.” Turns out his mother’s dying wish is to see him get hitched, and I’m the lucky girl who owes him a debt. The catch? I also have to move in with him to really sell the ruse. Soon enough, I’m realizing my career isn’t the only thing on the line with my hot-as-Hades fiancé. My heart is, too. So, I counter with a wilder proposition: a purely physical relationship with three simple rules. No kissing, no sleepovers, and definitely no fal

Book Review: When He Reads to Me

You'll love this if you enjoy: ❥Forbidden romance 🏍️MC Romance 🩷Friends to Lovers 🫦Dark Themes 💄Broken but Sassy FMC 👥Opposites Attract 🌶️Spicy ⛓️Possessive Alpha MMC I loved him from the beginning. In the middle. But maybe not at the end. His love for me was full of possibilities, hopes, and dreams a girl like me wasn’t accustomed to. He was a nightmare that cracked and bled through my hands, and I stood there watching as it seeped into the ground. Until him. He put me back together. Without even knowing he was doing so. And he wasn’t even my husband. My Review T.L. knocks it out of the park with this book! I devoured this book. It is so freaking good. I take that back, it is AMAZING! Milo is morally black, and I could not get enough of him. He could have taken down Lissie's ex-husband a long time ago but for her, he would do anything. That means respecting her wishes and allowing him to live...for now.  The way that Milo allowed Lissie to gain power in herself is awes

Book Review: Arranged Vacancy

In Washington, where everything is at stake, no one’s hands are clean, and nothing is ever as it seems. Jaclyn Taylor’s life is curated to absolute perfection. Despite having secret political ambitions of her own, the only way the Washington darling will have a seat at the table is on the arm of a Senator, Vice President, or if she plays her cards right, as the wife of the next President of the United States. Engaged to presidential hopeful Christopher Blake, everything is falling into place for Jaclyn. Until he doesn’t show up on their wedding day. Forced to either postpone or cancel the wedding, his twin brother offers to take Christopher’s place for the day, helping her save face and maintain her loveless arrangement. Temporary. A charade. Smoke and mirrors. Except for Alexander Blake, nothing about standing in for his missing brother is pretend. Even through the lies and deceit, he finds himself falling for the one woman he shouldn’t. But when Christopher reappears, ready to clai

Book Review: Wickedly Yours

Image
"Be my wife."  No part of me should have accepted the demon's proposal, especially when it came with all of these strings attached. Being his wife, his queen. Except, there was a part of me that wondered... What if? What if the fates had been right, pairing us together? What if we were something... more? Wickedly Yours is a standalone Halloween novella featuring the marriage of convenience between a witch who loves to bake and a demon prince who falls in love with her. This is a steamy, open-door romance with a guaranteed HEA. My Review Luna and Zain are fated mates. It was very obviously that they were meant to be together. Even though Zain had not met Luna yet, he still felt a strong connection to her. It only intensified when they met.  The chemistry they shared is a strong one. It is also filled with a strong physical attraction that lends to steamy moments. Yet, the loved that they shared for each other is what I enjoyed the most about these two's relationship.

But one night, everything went sideways, and now Jameson is my only chance at getting out of this mess. He doesn’t trust me, but he needs me to get back at the man who sent me to his clubhouse.  His protection for my cooperation.  As long as my brother is safe, it’s a deal I can’t refuse. Book Review: Hockey Boy

Lennox Kennedy is beautiful, loud and the love of my life. She’s also my ex-girlfriend. The first time I saw her after ten years apart, I slammed into the plexiglass minutes before our game was set to begin. The second time I threw up. But third time’s a charm apparently because as my fiancée and I walked into an appointment to meet the woman hired to plan our nuptials–there she was again. Obviously, I did what any smart man would do–I called off the wedding. I don’t have a plan per se, other than winning back the only girl I’ve ever loved. As a future hall of famer and one of the best centers hockey has ever seen, I know a thing or two about winning, but convincing Lennox Kennedy to give this hockey boy another chance might just be the challenge of a lifetime and this game I’m playing may turn out to be nothing but a pucking disaster. My Review Aiden fell first and still fell hard for Lennox. I actually liked how much Aiden was pursuing Lennox, knowing she always was the one. Lennox

Not after suffering through The Great Ghosting with her ex-situationship. Now she swears by the ball-busting belief that you have to do things yourself instead of waiting for the stars to align. The catch to getting her dream job? She has to work with the captain of the Riverside Reapers…the only man who has ever broken her heart.   Ex-ballerina and cupcake connoisseur,  SUMMER SIMPSON  is four years into running her controversial but successful cupcake emporium in Montmartre, Paris. But Summer is as tough as her sugarspun Eiffel Tower cupcake toppers… even in the snow flurries of a French winter. Until disaster strikes and a corporate Christmas delivery for the biggest business in the neighbourhood has the power to make or break the emporium, forcing even Fabien to defrost - and the sparks to fly. Book Review: Born for Silk

Audiobook Review: The Hunt

Once upon a time there lived three men bonded by darkness and pain. Each fighting a past that wants to drown them. All of them damaged and broken. None of them complete. Until her. She is the glue that holds their mangled pieces together. The key to their salvation. For her they would burn the world. *The Hunt is a standalone dark why choose reimagining of Snow White.* My Review Noelle may have wanted to act like she was pure as snow but in reality, she needed the guys as much as they needed her. Cas is majority unhinged. You never knew what he was going to do. Kept things interesting. Lorne is dark but his was more of a you are mine, and then there is Declan. He is a tortured soul. He like Noelle needed his brothers. They helped save him.  I listened to the audio version of this book. Let me tell you that this is one that you would not or (maybe you do) want to "accidentally" play on loudspeaker in an awkward situation. You know the ones I am talking about. When your husba
