Book Review: Butter My Biscuit

My bestie was off-limits until he kissed me and changed everything…

Harrison Valentine is my best friend and the king of one-night stands.
And hi—nice to meet you—I’m the queen of failed relationships.
Commitment issues are something we have in common, or so I thought.

Then the devil delivers his kiss of death, and it puts me in a chokehold.
I expect a f*ck boy, but he wants forever.
And it scares me.

When I finally see the magic we made together, it’s too late.
Because he’s now engaged.
To someone else.

Butter My Biscuit is a SPICY childhood friends-to-lovers, small-town Southern romance with a hero who falls first and knows exactly what he’s always wanted. Each book in the Valentine Texas series is a stand-alone and can be read in any order. There is tension and angst, but trust the process. If I ever break you, I will always put you back together. With an X over my heart.

My Review

I have loved every book in this series. Honestly, when a new book comes out by Lyra, I already know it will be a winner. This one had me laughing the whole time. Harrison and Grace share a great relationship as best friends. So much that they are very comfortable around each other.

I will say though that Harrison and Grace did frustrate me with their friendship. They were so great with one another that they never really entertained the idea that they could be more. I take that back; Grace has not entertained the idea. Harrison is too nice to make the bold move. Luckily, his sister did a love tarot card drawing for him to throw out into the universe the good energy.

The angsty smothering attraction between these two was so strong. I just wanted to lock these two in a closet until they kissed and jumped each other's bones! Harrison and Grace are the perfect match for each other.
