Book Review: Stalked but not Afraid

**Stalked But Not Afraid is a standalone with a HEA in the Spark of Hope Series. It’s set around a trauma-support group and will, therefore, touch on extremely sensitive subjects. I’ll always do my best to handle these topics with care and healing and with no intention of hurting anyone. But please, heed this warning if you have any triggers.



My Review


Author, Nicole mentions that she writes her books without too great a detail as even she has been known to skim a book if it has too many details. I must admit that I too have skimmed many books before as well. Thus, one of the reasons why I love reading a Nicole Dykes book. They books have just the perfect amount of detail. The other reason is the characters. Ooh, the characters. They are so engaging that my heart immediately grows emotionally attached to the characters every time I read a new book. This is what happened with this book. I felt the tension in the beginning between Brooks and Roman. I loved how Roman did not think any degrading thoughts about Brooks profession. In fact, all he wanted to do was to protect him. Because of the tension in the beginning, it just added to the story and therefore when these two hooked up, it made it that much more angsty. OMG, I heart Roman and Brooks so much!
