Fatal Convictions will be fatal to your health, as you will lose sleep reading this book.

Alex Madison is both an attorney and pastor of South Norfolk Community Church. While visiting patients at the hospital, Alex stops in Ghaniyah Mobassar’s room. Ghaniyah had a horrible car accident and the tree won. A tractor trailer passed Ghaniyah and then swerved back into the lane causing her to run off the road. Ghaniyah’s husband, Khalid comes in the room. He doesn’t really appreciate Alex there.

A few days later, Alex receives a phone call from Khalid. He needs Alex’s help. A prominent Muslim leader’s wife has been murdered. She was beheaded for turning away from the Muslim ways and accepting Christianity. Khalid is the prime suspect. Despite Alex’s reserves, he takes on the case. Soon, Alex is torn between his parish, who are telling him to drop the case and Khalid.

Fatal Convictions is the second book I have read by this author. The first book, The Justice Game became an instant hit with me. When Mr. Singer’s latest novel, Fatal Convictions came out, I knew I had to check it out. This book was just as good as The Justice Game. Mr. Singer is at the top of his game. Alex is the type of attorney you want on your side. He is determined, caring, and fights for the good guys. Both the present and past stories were interesting. What I liked the most about this book was that I was pulled into this story and was rooting for Alex and Khalid. They weren’t just characters in a book but they were real people in my eyes. Fatal Convictions will be fatal to your health, as you will lose sleep reading this book.
