Book Review: Shattered By Light

Getting Levi back from the Syndicate should be our priority. But with each passing day, it feels like this is just the beginning of something so much worse.

There are secrets buried in the catacombs underneath AGU that are more sinister than I ever imagined. The murders haven’t stopped, and now, cryptid messages and shadow figures are everywhere I turn.

The clock is ticking, and if we don’t unmask the killer, one of us won’t make it to New Year’s.

The game has already begun, and there’s no turning back. Each move we make brings us closer to the edge. It’s no longer about saving Levi—it’s about survival. And we’re playing against an enemy we can barely comprehend. The stakes are higher than I could’ve ever expected, and it’s there’s no place for the weak in this fight.

The darkness is coming for us all. And I won’t rest until we find the killer… or become their next target.

My Review
After the cliffhanger ending in book one, I was very much looking forward to reading this book.

The group dynamics are fractured after The Syndicate takes one of the group. It just shows how one piece of the group missing can mean a lot. However, when they are reunited, the group is whole again.

The intimate scene between Sable and Levi was hot but it was also emotional. The mood was lightened up by Dayton. He brought the humor. Even Kai cracked a few smiles and did not turn to stone for it (just kidding).

Sable is a strong woman but there is nothing wrong with having four men watching and protecting her. Heck, if I was her, I would consider myself in heaven. I loved Levi.

"You've proven yourselves worthy of surviving the fire.
Now, let's see if you can thrive in the ashes."
