Book Review: Bronco

From best selling author Mackenzy Fox comes the highly anticipated MC spin-off series from the Bracken Ridge Rebels:

Bronco: NOLA Rebels MC - (New Orleans Series Book 12)

Bronco is a gritty, motorcycle romance with friends to lovers, fake dating, kiss-cam moment, protective hero and a sassy heroine who's escaping a dark past.

Blurb:

Bronco

It’s the kiss that did it

Falling for her wasn’t my fault

I mean, she’s my best friend

And I didn’t plan on falling in love with her

But that’s exactly what happened

She’s always been in my life

But never like this

The more I get to know her

The more the secrets unfold

The past is never in the past

Not when the most precious person in the world

Could be the one to get hurt

And that would be my final undoing

The pact we made?

It’s about to be tested

And I’m ready to fight

Amber

I’m to blame for the kiss-cam moment

I kissed him, after all, not the other way around

I shouldn’t have

But we crossed a line

It was supposed to be one night

We made a pact that went something like this:

No feelings

No commitment

Definitely no heartstrings

He’s my best friend

The man who’s always kept me safe

He’d die for me

But I’ve found something to live for

And he was right under my nose all along

Then a dark shadow suddenly casts over us

One we can’t escape from

And I’m left wondering if I didn’t drag him into this

Only to lose him before our love story began

The men of the NOLA Rebels MC will do anything for their club. They’re a brotherhood, a club who stands mighty, and above all else, they take care of business, New Orleans style.

The bikers may rule this city, but the women of the club have their hearts, and the men will do anything to protect what’s theirs.

It is part of a series, but can be read stand-alone with a HEA. This book is recommended for mature readers

My Review

Bronco and Amber make a cute couple. I love the witty banter they share. Bronco making a pact that if they are both single at the age of forty, they would get married. Well, Bronco, you didn't have to wait.

Although Bronco was a little clueless when he was even given clues that Amber liked him as more than a friend. It is a good thing he is handsome as he has cotton candy for brains sometimes. Just kidding. The real reason is because he respected Amber and did not want to mess things up between them.

"Everything about her I want to love and protect.

My Princess

Forever."

I really felt for Amber. She is a survivor. She endured a lot in her past. So, for her to make the move to get intimate with someone even Bronco was brave of her. Bronco and Amber forever.

Keep Reading for a look inside Bronco!

“We should fake date for real?”

“Why not? It’ll keep the has-beens away from you,” she laughs.

“Why do you care?” I pop the question, desperate to know the answer. I lean closer to her

ear. “Wanna know somethin’?”

She nods, bringing that goddamn straw to her lips that I want to replace with my tongue.

“I’m all ears.”

“Nevada said somethin’ crazy.”

She laughs. “And that’s groundbreaking?”

I swallow hard. “We had it out; he thinks men and women can f*ck and still be friends.”

Her chest hitches at the use of my words. “What do you think?”

“Were you talking about me?” she breathes.

“He was. I didn’t indulge in it, other than to remind him we have a special friendship and I

don’t wanna ruin that.”

Her pretty eyes meet mine. “But we’d be so good together.”

My heart races, beating so hard it could burst out of my chest at any given moment. She has

no idea the power of her words. “But sex ruins friendships, it complicates things, right?”

Please say no. Please f*cking say no.

“I don’t know,” she says quietly. “I’ve never had a ‘f*ck buddy’ before.”

I shake my head. “It wouldn’t be that.”

A small smile crosses her lips. It could just be me, but they seem swollen from that one illicit

kiss. Does she want more? Or am I imagining it?

“Why? Am I too good for it?” Her tone is amused, but there is no amusement in my tone.

“Yes,” I say simply. “You are. It’s no secret I have you on a pedestal.”

She looks away, then everyone is jumping out of their seats as the game ends and the final

score sees the Pelicans winning by three points. We missed it, but I’m not sorry.

If I can hold one memory from tonight, it’s not gonna be that f*cking score board. It’ll be the

way Amber’s kiss made me reevaluate everything that I hold dear. How’s that for f*cking

vanilla?
