My Review
This is a cute book. I like that it helps teach a lesson that adopting or fostering a dog is a really positive thing. The illustrations in this book are gorgeous. They are colorful and really bring the story to life. What I do like is that the illustrations are not too busy with too many images. 
There are so many dogs that are in shelters that need their "forever" home. By fostering or adopting, you are helping to share your home and love with these dogs. 
The girl in this story helps to foster Pepper. She and he share so many memories of fun activities. So that when Pepper does find his forever home, it is sad but also rewarding. Because the girl saw how happy Pepper was with his new owner, that she was willing to foster another dog. The words in this story are not too hard that young readers like my eight-year-old niece will have no problems reading this book on her own.
