Book Review: Beautiful Little Freaks

From top three amazon bestselling author Tylor Paige, comes a new horror romance about two star-crossed lovers whose love for a tale told 100 years ago convinces them to rewrite the ending, no matter the cost.

Gatsby-
The world has found me guilty of heinous crimes that aren't mine.
I've been called the beautiful monster. A man with a craving for flesh, but darling, it's not your liver I want.
It’s your heart.
You were the first person to look past my pretty face and see into my soul.
With your messages, you soothed a brewing beast, and allowed me to dream of a life greater than what I had. Please, understand, to get my shot at my dream, my green light, I needed to take the fall for this. But I know you're waiting for me, Daisy. And if you aren’t? If you’ve met someone else? Well, that will be rectified.

Daisy-
I had no one, until you.
Isolated, I was the ballerina trapped in a jewelry box, hidden away from a world deemed too cruel. You helped me escape my golden prison; but the moment we were free, you chose a path so shocking that even speaking of your crimes sends me spiraling-- and not in the way a prima ballerina is meant to.
You ask me to wait. That when you get out, all the people who have wronged you will get what is earned, but how long do I put my life on pause for someone on death row?

What exactly am I waiting for? Your dream, or mine?

Beautiful Little Freaks is a horror romance retelling. It features one couple, and has an HEA.

My Review
After reading this book I have a renewed interest in reading The Great Gatsby. Yes, that is right, I have never read the book. I have tried but never really found I could keep my interest on the story. In fact, I watched the movie with Leo but even that I thought it was just ok.

However, Tylor wrote Gatsby and Daisy's story so beautifully that I absolutely loved this book. To the fact that like I said I have a renewed interest now.

This book shifts into different time periods. Starting out with Gatsby going away to prison. Daisy goes on to become the Prima Ballerina. As time moves on, Gatsby and Daisy reconnect and realize just how strong their love is for one another. "You are my green light."

I felt every emotion that Gatsby and Daisy projected. I was fully invested in their story. This book is a must not miss read!
