Book Review: Falling for the Quarterback

For the past four years, Joel “Hendy” Henderson has been revered and celebrated as CFU’s number-one quarterback and treated like a larger-than-life superhero.

Now he’s returned for grad school and is second-guessing his decision of not playing pro post-graduation. And worse yet, for the first time in his life, he wants a woman he can’t have, the one he hooked up with over spring break who he never expected to see again.

And now she’s his new professor.

Leaving behind all the drama of a demanding father and a critical ex back in the UK, Charlotte Butler is excited about her new role as a professor at CFU. What she doesn’t expect is the drama that unfolds in her classroom when her one and only one-night stand ends up being her new grad student.

Hendy’s making all the right moves to score Charlotte’s heart, but the complications between them block his every attempt. He may need a Hail Mary pass if he’s going to win her love forever.

My Review

I really enjoyed this quickie read. I love an age gap romance. This one is great because it features Charlotte as the older woman. Yes, to her and getting her man.

Charlotte and Hendy's one night stand was hot. I loved it when Charlotte got agitated and would cuss. It is especially funny hearing a British person use curse words.

"My only regret now is that it wasn't longer."

A quick shout out to Charlotte's friend, Poppy. If you ever need a cheerleader in your corner or a wing woman, she is who you need to call.

"Maybe I even feel for him that first night all those months ago."

Hendy is bold but not too cocky. I love that he knew that Charlotte is the woman for him, and he was a man on a mission. These two make a great couple. Looking for your next read, you need to pick up a copy of this book. S.E. and Sierra score a touchdown with this book!
