Book Review: Smoke

Like a wildflower growing through the cracks in the pavement…

A preacher’s daughter should know better than to play with sin. But Cherry Bradley is no saint.

Everyone has secrets, but burying the past is like trying to trap lightning in a bottle—it will always find a way to get out.

And when Cherry’s skeletons reemerge, they come in the form of three wicked deviants, the ones she made a pact with on the darkest night of her life.

Hawk, Scarrow, and Omen specialize in cleaning up messes, but they aren’t going to let their little live wire forget the debt she owes them. They’ve come back to collect their pound of flesh. With interest. And they aren’t going anywhere until her hands are as dirty as theirs.

But that’s the thing about live wires, they set fire to everything they touch.

Some sins can’t be forgiven.

My Review

Do you love psycho MMCs? How about a bratty FMC? Tons of spice? If you answered yes to all three questions, then, you NEED to read this book! I love everything I read from this author. This book is so good that I tried to pace myself as I wanted to savor every moment.

"She's the right amount of unhinged to match mine."

This story starts with a bomb right away. There is no easing into the story. Cherry threw the first shot and not she has to pay the price. Hawk, Omen, and Scarrow are more than ready to collect on the debt. Scarrow and Hawk have short fuses, but Omen is live wire.

"My sweet, Cherry girl...you should know this by now, I am the storm."

This book is AMAZING! A don't miss out, five star read!

SMOKE is a dark romance where the FMC ends up with multiple MMCs and an HEA. While this world is connected to the Jack and Jill Duet, it is not necessary to read that one first. Content not suitable for all readers. Please visit the author’s website for content warnings.
