Book Review: Own Me

After her Dom's death, Shay Clarke tried to follow him into the dark. Now committed to the Meridian Institute, a facility where BDSM becomes therapy, she's paired with Rayne Bauer; a sinfully patient Daddy Dom whose touch promises both pleasure and pain.

Rayne knows exactly how to handle a broken babygirl: firm rules, tender aftercare, and the kind of dominance that quiets her nightmares. The Institute's program isn't about permanent ownership, it's about teaching Shay to care for herself; to stand tall without a Daddy's leash.

As their sessions ignite into something more dangerous than therapy, Shay must decide: surrender completely to the man who makes her feel alive again...or fight to own herself, even if it means walking away from the only Daddy who truly sees her.

My Review

Shay endured a very traumatic ordeal. One that has left her retreating into her own body and blocking out the event that has led her to Meridian Institute. I love the approach that Rayne took with Shay as Daddy Dom. He understood what Shay needed and gave it to her, while still allowing her to find trust and find her own voice.

For me, the intimate moments between these two felt more intimate because they were both connecting on a deeper level than just a physical one.

This book is one of my favorites in this series. It features a Daddy Dom.
