Book Review: Oceans In Your Eyes

 

I fell in love with the one man I couldn’t have. My husband.

At forty, I’ll do anything to save my health shop, including marrying Angelo Marchesi, a decade younger, tattooed guitarist from Italy who needs a green card.

Now that this marriage feels painfully real, so are our differences. As our contract’s end nears, I brace for an inevitable heartbreak. Angelo could have any woman he desires, so why would he choose someone older, like me?

Oceans In Your Eyes is a dual-pov marriage of convenience, forced proximity, reverse age gap, slow burn romance that takes place in a small beach town, and promises a happily-ever-after.

My Review

You can really feel the emotions transpiring between June and Angelo. It may have started out as a marriage of convenience, but it was more than that. As these two slowly opened up and let us readers and themselves in, you do become closer to them. 

There may be an age gap between June and Angelo, but it did not feel like it was a big issue. Every time that Angelo mentioned June and her ocean eyes, I did get a smile on my face. There is a scene where they get physical, and it is a spicy one!

Lily does know how to write to draw her readers in and fall in love with her stories and characters.
