Book Review: Kissed by Songs of Lilies

Never bargain with a frog.
There was a chill in the salt air the morning my sister was taken. All they left was a single golden shell in her bed. The fae had claimed another bride.
Now, careless on champagne, I've met one myself. By night, an intoxicating gentleman with piercing green eyes. By day, a slimy, conniving frog.
When I drop my precious golden shell, he offers to retrieve it... for a price. By his law, we are betrothed.

To break a bargain is to die, so I will cross the cursed waters with him and go to their hidden isle. But this won't be a one-way trip. It won't be so easy to claim the heart of this princess.
Kissed by Songs of Lilies is one of ten books in the Enemies Ever After series, a collection of standalone short novels featuring enemies-to-lovers fairy tale retellings with a touch of steam.

My Review

E.V. is a new to me author. After reading this book I will be checking out other books by this author. I loved this book so much. Once, I started reading, I could not stop. I started and finished it in one day. Instantly, I was connected to the characters, and I had a clear vision of what they looked like as well as the world the story took place in.

It is not easy being green, especially when you are cursed to live life as a frog. Forrest knows this firsthand. Forrest and Georgia's first meet and greet was nice. Forrest was a gentleman, so when he waltzed to her dad and demanded that Georgia is his, that took me a bit by surprise but at the same time I loved Forrest claiming Georgia.

The slow burn romance was perfect. There is not a lot of steam but that one moment between these two was enough for me. Kissed by Songs of Lilies is the chef's kiss!
