Book Review: Arcranium™
Description
Four horror authors with four vulnerable egos, square off against one another in the virtual world to find out who is the scariest. Welcome to Arcranium™, a powerful technology that fuses with the author's mind to stimulate their best possible creation, immersing other participants in the narrative. It's all in good fun, but with so much pride at stake, things are bound to get a little bumpy once the gloves come off. So, strap your headset on, and don't forget the safe word. The future of literature is about to get an upgrade. The future is … Arcranium™
A Note From the Publisher
Arcranium contains scenes of excessive violence and gore, as well as strong sexual content. Readers who are easily triggered should be advised. Also, don't forget the safe word!
My Review
Now, this is the type of book I want and need when I am looking for a horror read. I liked the concept of four horror authors using like AI technology to break out of their writer's block and find inspiration.
Mike, Yas, Alex, and Noah all could be just normal people but with each interaction, I was drawn to them and their stories. Each one allowed me to get to know them better and their dynamics as a group. Each story built upon each other and got more gruesome. I would have liked the stories to be a bit longer to really stretch out my mind. Although all four stories are what nightmares are made of. I would not want to be trapped in any of the stories.
Now that I have had a taste of what authors, Mark and Daemon are all about, I will be checking out more books by them.
