Book Review: Midnight Chase
Jessica’s world is falling apart.
Her mother is slipping away. Her brother is unraveling. And every choice she makes pulls her deeper into Bleakmoor’s shadows.
She should walk away from Kane Ravencourt.
He’s reckless, possessive and consuming.
But when he touches her, she forgets why she ever tried to run.
Kane has already decided. Jessica is his.
She thinks she can stay away.
She can’t. Not from him.
Jessica is his, no matter what it costs. His father’s threats, his friends’ warnings, her family’s hatred… None of it matters.
Because he’ll burn every rule, every enemy, every fucking boundary to keep her.
Being noticed by him is dangerous.
Being wanted by him is ruin.
And together, they’re headed for their Midnight Chase.
My Review
We are back for more with Jessica and Kane. The connection they share grows stronger and deeper. Ooh and we can't forget all of the spice!
"Why are you fighting this?
Fighting what? This? What's this? Kane, I don't know what you're talking about."
My chest twinges. This connection."
Huge shout outs to Rain, Jessica's best friend and Lily, Kane's little sister. They both are hilarious. Rain pushing Jessica towards Kane and their name calling of each other had me laughing out loud. Then, there was Lily when she gave Jessica a hard time about hooking up with Kane. Also, props to Cash, Kane's twin brother. He is trouble with a capital "T".
I loved every moment of this book Seeing Kane and his siblings interacting with each other with their witty banter is pure gold. Want to know an embarrassing story about Kane..."This one time at band camp"
Just going to say that I am in love with the boy aka Kane. Um, Harleigh not to pressure you but I am going to need book three ASAP!
