Audiobook Review: Grandma's House
It’s Christmas Eve, and Maisie is convinced her boyfriend, Lucas, is totally going to propose. The cookies are baked, the mood is set, and her ring finger is perfectly poised. But when a confused elderly woman wanders into their home and claims it as her own, the couple’s plans are quickly thwarted.
My Review
Who says that you can't listen to Christmas books all year round. If you like your holiday stories to be dark, then, you may want to check out this one. Grandma's House is like eating a dark chocolate kiss.
While I did enjoy this novella, I was just getting into the story when it ended. Um, that ending left me wanting more. I would have liked to see the story just a little longer. Yet still a good read or in my case listen. You can't go wrong with narrators, Savannah Thomas and Joe Arden.
Brimming with tension, suspense, and holiday cheer, this twisted short story is perfect for fans of Freida McFadden and Daniel Hurst.
