Book Review: Bratva’s Innocent Obsession

One night with a mafia boss

I’m a captive ballerina. He’s a big, arrogant, tattooed Bratva boss who paid an outrageous amount to own me until dawn.

I’m sent to his room, quaking with nerves. But I refuse to make it easy for him.

“Do not fight me, Taylor,” he growls, ice-blue eyes flashing. “I will win.”

I run.

He catches me, pinning me, his naked body hard against mine.

I’m sobbing. Helpless.

Then he whispers into my ear, low and harsh. “There’s something you need to know…”

A sweet and spicy mafia romance novella with accidental pregnancy, age gap, and an innocent girl who has the Bratva boss’ heart instantly.

This standalone links in with Bratva’s Secret Girl and Bratva’s Stolen Bride.

My Review

As soon as Kon laid eyes on Taylor, he knew that he had to have her for himself. He makes a deal to rescue Taylor from the human trafficking ring that she is hostage in. It takes a while to get Taylor to accept and trust Kon will protect her.

There was an instant physical reaction that these two shared in the beginning but that was under less than desirable circumstances. So, it did not really count. Yet, as these two spend more time with each other, that attraction does grow into something real.

I have read many books by Evie, and they are instant spice. While there was that instant connection in the beginning, it slowed down as the story progressed. For me, I actually liked the fact that this book was a bit on the darker side with more of a slow burn romance. Kon can be my book husband anytime as I would love to have unlimited money to buy tons of books.
