Audiobook Review: Painter's Obsession Volume II

Some stories aren’t just painted in blood—they’re carved into flesh, leaving nothing but ruin in their wake.

I survived his world, but not without changing me. Not without sinking me with him into the void. Turns out, sometimes, in order to set something free, you have to destroy it.

The game isn’t over. The lessons aren’t finished. And the deeper I go, the harder it is to tell where he ends and I begin.

THIS IS STOCKHOLM... TOXIC WITH NO—ABSOLUTELY NO HAPPY ENDING..

My Review

Ok, my heart got ripped out, stomped on, and then put back together again barely. That is what Ren and Byron' story did to me with this conclusion to this duet. While I really liked the first book, this one edged out the first book.

Just like Byron, I wanted to get over Ren and "hate" him but, we all know that the most you resist, the harder you fall. Honestly, Ren is the guy you do love to hate. So, I don't blame Byron for any of the actions he took or the choices he made. They were born out of love. OMG. The ending!

The star-studded cast of narrators, Mia Moreno, Corvin King, and Joe Arden are all back. The anguish I felt as Corvin voiced Byron. This is a big part of what really drew me into this audiobook. I could listen to Corvin's voice all day and night long.
