Book Review: Savior
Father
A man of the cloth, one shaken in his faith, realizes his childhood best friend’s daughter is missing. Since his friend is long gone, Luca feels the responsibility of finding her.
But when his faith and his allegiances are already on shaky ground, the Father finds he might have left well enough alone.
Because the sassy strength that is Sloane Collins is no match for a man teetering on the edge of diving headfirst into a life headed straight for perdition.
Taken hostage by one of the five families of New York, Sloane battles the odds and stays alive. Until she’s sold to a worse man than her captor.
Digging into herself, she finds faith she didn’t know she had previously, begging on bent knee for a god she didn’t believe in beforehand to spare her. To save her.
When HE walks through the door, killing everyone in his path and bathing in their blood, he becomes the one she’ll worship.
Become her savior.
My Review
This newest offering in this series is one that you don't want to miss. I am not Catholic but if I was after reading this book and especially Luca would make me want to go to confessional!
The age difference between Luca and Sloane might have been an issue for Luca in the beginning but all it took was Sloane's teasing and he was a goner. He soon realized that age is just a number. There is nothing that can stop what the heart desires.
K.M. always brings the SPICE. Yet, what I really enjoyed was the sweet moments between Sloane and Luca. These scenes allowed me to really get to know them better as well form a strong emotional connection.
Don't feel guilty about reading this book as it is a recommended read. Although, if you do have any guilt, just say three Hail Mary's and you will be good.
