Book Review: Cursed Lifeline

The Slayer.

It’s been centuries since the first time my eyes have feasted on such a tempting sight.

She’s been expecting me just as much as I’ve anticipated her.

Her happiness is my damned heart’s perilous undertaking.

Her protection was my lost soul’s last dying wish.

The coven doesn’t know our secret.

A curse, with a promising loophole, several centuries old sealed in blood.

Haunted time and again by her imminent, unforeseen death, her soul continues to call to me from beyond the grave.

Beckoning me closer, she tempts me to play life’s game with her.

One. More. Damned. Time.

The only way to keep her safe in her next life is to stay away.

The problem is, her mortal presence makes me yearn to find a way to save her soul, even if it means our cursed love ends with her running a stake through the only thing I long to offer her.

My Review

This book is actually a tome with the longer length. However, don't fear as you won't even notice the length of this story as you will get "lost" in it and find yourself reading nonstop. This book was a quick, STEAMY read for me. Evelyn Montgomery is at the top of her game with this book. I definitely was getting Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibes and Interview with the Vampire vibes as well.

No matter how many centuries separate Felix and Esme, they will always find each other. Only each time that they do, their intimate connection grows even stronger. If I was going to have vampire lover, I would want it to be someone like Felix. Esme and Felix were truly meant to be together.

I absolutely devoured this book. When I say you need to read this book, I mean you NEED to read this book. If you are a new reader to Evelyn, you will become a devoted fan afterwards and if you already are a reader then you will fall even harder for Evelyn's writing.
