Trapped by Irene Hannon

Irene Hannon writes a great story of two sisters; Laura Griffin and Darcy her half-sister.

After their mother's death, Laura decides to take her sister, Darcy and raise her. Like any teenager, Darcy decides to give Laura's way a go. Laura wants things to be done like they have always been done but Darcy rebels at every turn. Darcy finally decides to run away with her friend and goes to Chicago. Darcy does leave a note for Laura letting her know she has ran away.

Laura decides to call Phoenix Inc., a private investigating agency. She meets James Devlin, a PI. He agrees to help Laura find Darcy. Dev knows that girls who run away from their families get into a lot of trouble. He knows that many of these cases can end up as just another statistic. darcy travels to Chicago. There she meets a homless woman. The woman takes Darcy to the homeless shelter where Darcy meets Hamilton. Hamilton works at the daycare center. He seems like a good person who wants to help Darcy. James is following up on all leads and discovers a connection between Hamilton and the disapperance of girls.

If you want to find out what happens to Laura, Devlin, and Darcy you will have to read the book.

Review by Blanche Mancuso

What a great book. This book comes with a warning to people everywhere that not all people are what they appear to be. It warns you to be careful and never hesitate to call for help if you believe something is wrong,, or a person is doing wrong. Follow your instincts and call for help. I would encourage everyone to read this book as it is exciting, informative, and a wonderful read!
