My Review

Emerson awakens to find that his parents have made summer plans for him. They are sending him to his aunt's house in Kensley for the summer. The worst part is that she lives on a farm. Emerson is a city boy. Jasper has helped work on the farm for a long time. He instantly does not like Emerson. He has no remorse when Emerson steps in cow poo and ruins his expensive white sneakers. There is a lot of traded barbs that go back and forth between Emerson and Jasper. "Ok, I think I broke the country boy." We go back to Kensley. Nicole has a series based in Kensley. The Kensley Panthers. In a way, it did feel like a homecoming with this story taking place in Kensley. Nicole sure does know how to evoke emotions in her characters. It was not an easy road by any means for Jasper and Emerson. They almost lost it all due to others. Luckily, Jasper realized that Emerson was his world. This book is an emotional read that will have you fighting for Jasper and Emerson. "He's my truth. My Happiness. My Future."
