BennettMy mother is in a medical facility, and I’m running out of money to pay for her care after screwing up a recent contract hit. To make matters worse, I’m no closer to finding my missing sister. I need a distraction. That’s where Catarina Novak comes into the picture. When she decides to attend the winter retreat, it’s only natural that I would follow her. My intentions are simple: make her as miserable as possible so that I can forget how miserable I am.Making her unhappy is my favorite pastime, but what happens when I discover something I enjoy more? And how will I handle the truths she makes me admit to myself?
CatThe winter retreat is a chance to forget all my worries and enjoy myself for an entire week. I’ll be there with my best friend, and I’ll finally get my first kill. What could possibly go wrong?A lot, apparently. When Bennett Carter breezes into the log mansion, he brings a cloud of chaos in his wake. With his stupidly handsome smirk, he blocks my kills at every turn and makes it his life’s mission to annoy me. But when we get lost in the woods overnight, something changes…If people discover what we’ve done, we’ll never hear the end of it, but how can we keep this a secret when we’re stuck under a microscope? How can we stop what we’ve set in motion? And do we even want to?Welcome to the winter retreat, Sinners!
Slay Ride is the second book in Lauren Biel’s Slaycation series. Each book follows a different couple as they navigate the hilarity of love and murder. These dark romantic comedies are packed with serial killers, forced proximity, and banter that cuts deep. It’s a dangerously good time!

My Review
I have anxiously been awaiting this book ever since I finished Sinner's Retreat. Lauren delivers big time! I fell in love with everyone even more with this book. Some of the minor characters from the prior book were more prominent in this book and I loved getting to know them better like Maverick, Grim, and Rose. Eve is a great new addition to this group. Loved the awkward but also sweet moment between Cat, Rose, and Grim.
If you feel hungry, I suggest steering clear of Chef Maurice and his minestrone soup. Speaking of food. If you have read book one, Sinner's Retreat than you are familiar with Bennett's food obsession that involve getting up close and personal with a pineapple. There are many more food items that are harmed in this book.
Kindra is the friend you want in your corner. Bennett falling hard for Cat is the greatest. The name calling may have been toned down some after they realized that they wanted to be more than enemies but don't fear as the witty banter is still present throughout the book. This book gets infinity stars as it is that FREAKING amazing!
Cat's tagline "Wouldn't want you to get scratched".
