Book Review: Desperate Valentine

On a Valentine’s Day turned deadly, Veronica's world spirals after she kills a classmate in self-defence.

Seeking solace in a nearby bar, she meets Jude, the owner of the bar whose dark charm draws her in. As they share secrets and spark an undeniable connection, Veronica senses danger lurking beneath his surface. Torn between gratitude and growing affection, she struggles with her choices.

Is Jude her saviour or a deeper threat?

With her heart and safety at risk, Veronica must decide to embrace the passion or escape the chaos.

Love can be intoxicating, but can it also be deadly?

My Review

We were introduced to Veronica in Forbidden Valentine. She is snarky or as Jude would call her a firecracker. Although, I love Jude calling Veronica "Little Leopard". These two are great together. I love snarky banter. It is associated with enemies to lovers.

"I fell for the villain."

This book is the third age gap romance in this series. Yet, this one also had praise k!nk as well. Veronica's feistiness just riled up Jude and made him want to show Veronica who is in charge. The steamy scenes in this novella are extra spicy!
