Book Review: Eight Sins

A fractured mind. A past that won’t stay buried.

Seven deadly sins tearing him apart—pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth. But it’s the eighth sin, the one he can’t name, that gnaws at the edges of his sanity.
When a neighbor's presence shatters his carefully constructed facade, buried memories claw their way to the surface, distorting reality into something unrecognizable. As obsession consumes him, each sin strips away another layer of his psyche, leading him closer to a truth too horrifying to face.
Fast-paced, raw, and unrelenting, Eight Sins drags you into a claustrophobic spiral of trauma, obsession, and self-destruction. The prose is sharp, the horror visceral—perfect for fans of psychological horror that gets under your skin and refuses to leave.
Content Warning: Contains disturbing themes and psychological horror. Not for the faint of heart.

My Review

I was drawn to this novella by the concept of it. The author did portray an interesting concept on the seven deadly sins...pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth.

Each sin has its own chapter, where you can see the madness as it tears the narrator apart. All I can think about is "the teeth". The while perfect teeth.

To see the narrator slowly descending into madness with the various sins displayed was fascinating. The problem though that I had with this novella is that I never became attached to the narrator and therefore didn't really care what was happening to him. In fact, I did find myself not connecting to what I was reading and would have to go back and re-read.
