Book Review: Red is for Roxy

Roxy has spent the last four years under her father’s thumb. Ever since the Weevils had arrived and quickly overwhelmed Earth, leaving only a few pockets of humanity and leading the death of most of the women on the planet, they have been hiding in their cabin trying to survive. But all this time Roxy has been preparing and practicing to take out Weevils and finally her MeeMaw calls for her, sending her on a life-changing mission.

The Seer, MeeMaw, has asked Wolf to protect a guest who is on their way for a visit to the old woman. When he finds the guest, she turns out to be a beautiful woman, strong and confident enough that she doesn’t require his protection. That doesn’t stop his wolf from demanding that she is theirs. When Wolf leads Roxy to her grandmother, he finds out that the old coot wants him to take Roxy on a mission.

Roxy and Wolf set out to bring back Roxy’s injured Aunt Charlie from her ranch. Weevils aren’t the only dangers in their path. Will their connection and the friends they bring with them help them save Aunt Charlie, or will the massive beasts be the end of them?

This is a Why Choose spicy romance. MMFFMM

My Review
Roxy is on a mission to save her aunt. She is joined by Wolf, Drake, and Mountain. Roxy shares instalust with all of the guys. You don't have to wait long before things heat up.

A quick read. Meg brings the heat with this why choose. I did like this book but the one thing I would have loved is a little more build up with the guys prior to the intimate scenes. Yet don't mistaken Roxy for an innocent girl on her way to grandma's house. Nope, in this story, Roxy is a woman, and she can shoot a gun. Wolf is the man/shifter to show Roxy, she is all his. Anyone for Daddy?

Mountain and Roxy are good together. There is something about a big, burly man that is appealing. Yet, with Drake, things are a bit more emotional, and I really liked this aspect of the relationship with him and Roxy. There is the addition of Tom and Wren, who add a different dynamic to the mix. They are more on the tender side. Overall, you get a little of everything...MM, MF, FF, MMF. MMMMFF.
