Book Review: How To Lose A Zombie In 10 Days
Your ex boyfriend just got an…upgrade…
Jen is loving her new single life until she gets an unexpected phonecall from her fuckboy ex, Babe, I didn't know who else to call, but I think there's something really wrong...
No, he hasn't stubbed his toe or locked himself out of his house. He’s dead! He makes Jen promise to hide him for 10 days while they figure out what to do. A promise Jen quickly regrets when she remembers all the things she hates about her too gorgeous, too flakey himbo ex. But she’s never been the type of girl to break a promise.
The She’ll make him want to leave (again). How hard could that be? If her zombie ex boyfriend doesn’t like listening from the sofa bed in the living room as she gets railed, that's a him problem.
The only thing is he kinda likes it... and the harder she tries to make him pay, the harder he pushes to get her back. And the more he pushes, the more Jen realizes her zombie ex boyfriend has changed. Like, when did he get cute all of a sudden?
How To Lose A Zombie In 10 Days is a cozy monster rom com in the How I Met My Monster series. It's a standalone romance with a HEA featuring a hotwife/cuck dynamic and a zombie MMC who starts out all red flags and ends up getting some major upgrades (think bits sewn on… or taken off to play with…)
My Review
This is a really funny book. If you liked/loved Warm Bodies, you will want to check out this book. Who knew that all it took was Adam to become a zombie to turn out to be the "perfect" boyfriend.
Adam is very lucky that Jen works in the healthcare industry and knows how to sew. It comes in handy when body parts fall off and need to be reattached. While Adam's heart may no longer be beating, this does not mean that he does not still feel something for Jen and cares for her.
I was laughing the whole time reading this book. A must read. The final spicy scene that was a nice surprise and so yummy.
Warning: Don't piss off witches or gypsies!
