Book Review: The Beasts of Grey Haven
When three lifelong friends move to the small town of Grey Haven to start a new chapter of their lives, they'd never expected to meet the Beasts.
Soon, they can't deny the pull to join the Pack of the sexiest men they'd ever known. But once destiny has pulled them together, will the threat of the Pack's former Den boss tear them apart?
Their love is worth fighting for, and these women pack a bite of their own.
Will they rise to challenge, and run with the wolves?...
His to Keep
Lola has one rule only in life: don't rely on a man for anything you can do yourself. A bad relationship has left her jaded, and a move to the small town of Grey Haven seems exactly like the reprieve she needs from city life. The only thing that could make the move better? Going with her two best friends.
Of course, Grey Haven is filled with secrets, and the hunky man she meets at the bar has one or two of his own. Lola can't deny her attraction to Bane after their one night stand, even though her past experiences tell her to run far away from the beast.
Will Lola and Bane be able to work through their secrets, and find their happily ever after?
My Review
T. warned that this novella was a spicy one. She was not lying. Chapter One featured a hot kiss and Bane growling! From there the story just got hotter with not one but three smexy scenes! I am here for it all. Bring on the tall, dark, growling werewolf.
Bane can get between my thighs anytime. Instantly, I felt his intense pull to Lola. The attraction between these two is strong. It is nice to see Bane give Lola the space she needed to allow herself to love and be loved for "real". I can't wait to read Liv and Lacey stories.
His to Protect
Lacey and her friends have fallen for the Beasts. Lola was now with Bane, the fearsome Pack Alpha, and Lacey has found her soul mate in the Pack's second-in-command, Colt. And it looks like Liv might not be too far behind them with the other Pack brother, Hudson. They've all settled together into the Grey Haven compound, to stay safe from the threat from Shadow Den still breathing down their necks.
But Lacey is struggling to adjust to life on lockdown-her physical and mental health take their toll. Will Colt be able to protect her, even from herself?
In the middle installment of the Beasts of Grey Haven trilogy, Lacey learns what it means to trust someone enough to truly submit.
But only if she can keep her eyes on him...
My Review
This second installment in this series is amazing. Karly is a new to me author but already I am in love with her writing and need more books from her.
The quick flash back to Lacey and Colt's meeting was nice. It helped allow me to feel like these two have been together for a longer time than just recently formed as a couple. Lacey is a bit cheeky when it comes to Colt. Yet, Colt can handle Lacey.
That scene in the woods! As if Colt had not already won me over but the nail in the coffin was learning that he funded a dog rescue shelter. Colt is Lacey's rock through the good and bad days.
Liv's best friends have found their soul mates in the Lola with Bane, the Alpha, and Lacey with his second-in-command, Colt. They've all settled together into the Grey Haven compound, the threat from Shadow Den still breathing down their necks.
But Liv has always taken care of her friends-been the one to hold everything together, even at the cost of her own peace. Will Hudson, the final, brooding, handsome wolf brother, be the key to her future happiness?
In this conclusion to the Beasts of Grey Haven trilogy, they face Shadow Den head on, and Liv can't help but wonder if Hudson can unlock what she truly needs...
If he can help her let go, and let another take control...
