Book Review: Carved Obsession

Image
For what I witnessed, he wants me dead. But I’m no prey, and I’ll make him admit he  just wants me. With a wicked grin, I watched him kill a man, silently urging him on. Then I ran, adrenaline surging, hoping the sinfully handsome stranger wouldn’t catch me. Yet, for months, I dreamed he would. Until the day our paths crossed again and his cold, soulless gaze reignited the desire that had haunted me. Carter Pierce—one of the bloody kings of the underworld he and his soul brothers rule. The very people my family warned me against. But when the despicable man refusing to grant me a divorce moves against me, it’s Carter who stands by my side. And when his enemy strikes, I risk too much to stand by his. What future can I possibly have with a man missing a heart? And will he even want me once he truly knows me? My Review Scarlet and Carter's first run in with each other is the Mafia's form of a "meet-cute". I love Scarlet. She is one feisty firecracker. The way she just ...

Book Review: Sleeping Redemption

Image
Long before God crafted man from dust, He created a choir of angels to fill the heavens. But a life behind the Pearly Gates was the last thing some of us wanted. Falling from grace and following Lucifer into the pits of Hell came at a cost, one that has me on a quick descent into madness. As my past comes back to rip away the fragile pieces of my sanity, can an unhinged trickster demon, my inept guardian angel, and one seriously grumpy archangel keep me safe? And more importantly, will they be able to redeem my blackened heart? This book is intended for mature audiences 18+ years old. Please refer to the author's website for all content warnings. My Review Kinley is a powerful woman or should I say a fallen angel. So, it would only stand to reason that she deserves three powerful men in her life. They are Altas, Rook and Sylas. These three guys are the perfect combination.  Kinley using the word "cantankerous" to describe Sylas is accurate. I love Rook's cheekiness...

Book Review: Brutal Savior

Image
Tame her. Don’t break her. Joining the Brotherhood was supposed to lock my violent past away for good. I was in too deep when I learned their dark secret. All Brothers must choose a Ward. A captive woman to own, train and punish. It reignites the sadistic desires I’ve smothered. I try to do the right thing and choose a sweet, submissive woman who wants this life. But fate has other plans, and throws Quinn at my feet instead. She’s lightning in a bottle, a tiny brat just begging for a firm hand. I should let Kendrick give her away, but one look at her furious eyes and I’m hooked. She won’t kneel for me unless I force her, and the beast inside me roars at the challenge. As I work on taming my hellcat, a faceless ghost threatens my family. I’m glad Quinn woke the monster, because I’m going to need it. If you love Stasia Black and Shantel Tessier's dark and twisted stories, you'll go feral for the men of the Onyx Brotherhood. My Review Quinn may have been the "wrong" wo...

Book Review: Sovereign Daughters

Image
We are the sovereign daughters in a society built for men. We are taught to bow and obey, only useful for what our bodies can provide them. Our world is hell hiding amongst the free and no one knows the war that threatens to bring our society to its knees. Sometimes the best way through the battle is to work your way from the inside out. Obey the Sovereign; Command the weak, they say. Who’s the weak one now? My Review Warning as there the actions of the evil council men towards the women are horrible and not consenting in nature.  The scenes are graphic but not too long. They are important though to the storyline. Don't worry as each woman gets their HEA.  This book is broken into four parts. Each part focusing on a different woman however, each part is interconnected to the overall plot and each part progresses the story. In the first part we are introduced to Scarlett. This is her first year attending "The Cottages". I felt for Scarlett but luckily, she had a guardian...

Book Review: Stolen By The Bratva King

Image
Emery A gorgeous, blood-soaked man bursting into the emergency room with an injured child in his arms is one thing. Him seeing the bruises on my arm, kissing me, then punching my abusive fiancé, all in the same night? That's…well, something  else . I’m a trauma surgeon. If I wanted more drama in my life, I’d work longer shifts. Despite everything, I’m sure he's watching me. Or I’m going crazy, which might be the better option. Now it’s my wedding day, and who is waiting for me at the end of the aisle? Him. Leon Vasiliev, the ruthless bratva boss with a heart as cold as his eyes, is the sinfully handsome guy who got my heart racing. He is obsessed with me, but he’s a walking red flag, heating my body with his skillful hands. I can't fall for him. No way. But I still shudder with bliss when he says, “My wife…” Leon One look, and that was it. Instant obsession. Luscious curves, hypnotic eyes. Dr. Emery Bright sure lived up to her name. Then she rolled up the sleeves of her s...

Image
Five princes. One choice. Will she make the right one? And will it end up being the person trying to ruin her kingdom? The Lost Deer Queen is a tale of witty banter, yearning romance, and deadly secrets. TLDQ is a new-adult fantasy romance with mature elements that may be triggering to some readers. Please check the full list of content warnings. My Review Mae is a complex FMC. I mean this in a good way. She suffered sadly from a form of depression that leads to a sad scene. Luckily, she h...
