Book Review: Bass Desires
What do you get when you mix a love-sick human sous chef with a bass playing goblin?
Omeg trades his soul-sucking corporate career for a dream—playing the double bass in a place that is nothing short of paradise, the Monster Resort.
There, the little human Dottie enters his life. She's young, charismatic... and the most alluring creature he's ever encountered. What would someone like her ever want with a cane-user, older creature like him?
Then why is she nothing but shy when he's around?
Bass Desires is a 9k word paranormal romance short story with open door scenes, adult language, and a guaranteed happily ever after. There is mention of past physical trauma and the resulting long-term effects throughout the story.
Any book in the Monster Resort series can be read as a standalone.
My Review
Dot and Bass are great together. Age is just a number. There were no barriers when it came to the age difference between these two. What I liked the most through was the height difference. Bass towers over Dot. It kind of reminded me of my husband and me. He is 6'4 and I am 5'4.
This is a cute monster romance. It is a quick read. Yet, even with this story being a short one, I felt like it was a complete story. The MC being a goblin is fun. There are not that many goblin stories that I have read and after reading this book, there need to be more. Book your next stay at the Monster Resort with this book.
