Book Review: The Art of Obsession

If you love something, you never set it free. You fight for it. And I'll fight for you.

THE MUSE
The nude sketch was left on my pillow. A sketch of...me. I knew I had a stalker—someone watching my every move from the shadows. I never expected him...

The world knows him as Acheron—a world-renowned, billionaire stage artist who always wears a mask. He’s claimed me as his muse. And he’s created a dark exhibit just for me. Trapped in his underground gallery, I’m not just a historian. I’m his possession. His work of art. And I may never break free.

THE MASTER
She is not simply my muse. She is my masterpiece. Everleigh is mine—my inspiration, my obsession. She is the culmination of every brushstroke, every line, every dream.

She may fight me, but she’ll learn the truth soon enough: there is no life, no freedom, no escape without me. She is the creation I was born to make.

A dark, dual-POV romance where love is an obsession and art is the ultimate form of control. Perfect for fans of
Lights OutHaunting Adeline, and In Love With the Devil...HEA included.

My Review

Right away the story starts out with no lead up. This is fine as it really does not need any. Everleigh finds herself trapped in a mansion chased by Acheron. He is obsessed with her. He wants to make her his next living art exhibit.

"His mask invades my dreams every night, I still feel his hands on me."

Once Everleigh gets a taste of Acheron, she can't help herself as she has fallen under his spell. Every time that she wants or feels like saying "no", her inter voice, Cherry is louder as she encourages Everleigh to give in. Cherry is a hoot. She is definitely the devil on your shoulder that you should not listen to but know you will anyways as it is more fun.

"Love is the ultimate obsession"

There is non-stop one spicy scene after another. So, I hope you like your heat level HOT!

Emily does warn readers that she writes villains. She is right. Not that there is anything wrong with a villain. As I love a "bad boy". If anything, I would classify Acheron as morally black. If you like sinfully, dark reads that come with lots of trigger warnings, then, you will want to pick up a copy of this book.
