Ellie I’m in a pickle. Someone wants me dead, and all I want to do is make it to my high school reunion with my fake fiance. I’m a successful businesswoman, and my security guard is the bane of my existence. Jameson One contract. Just one more contract, and then I can retire with my brother in a land of freedom. But I didn’t expect to enjoy making Ellie’s world dependent upon me. Secrets. Lies. Murder. Mayhem. All ensue in this crazy suspense-filled romance. WIll Ellie and Jameson end up together, or does greed win? My Review I really enjoyed this book. I suddenly feel the need for a bodyguard. Ellie and Jameson shared hot chemistry. Ellie has a feisty side to her that was just brought out even more by Jameson. Which, I loved that Jameson called Ellie out on it. Whenever he would like when she asked for her phone and the next scene involved him kissing her. That got my blood rising.  The attraction between these two just keep getting hotter and hotter as the story progressed...

Book Review: One Look

I’m a full time single dad. A former NFL player turned coach, tasked with turning around a college team full of kids who either don’t take it seriously or are determined to get injured. I will absolutely not be falling for my new neighbor, despite the number of times my meddling brothers try to set us up. Lark Butler is pure chaos wrapped in gorgeous, infuriating sunshine. She showed up out of nowhere––getting paid to cry at a funeral, no less. Who does that? But somewhere between offering her condolences and crawling out of a literal grave site, we’ve found ourselves tangled in the drama of Outtatowner, Michigan–my coastal hometown with a decades-old feud and two aunties determined to end it. I’m finally putting down roots so my daughter has a normal life and I need to forget about Lark. Forget the way it felt the night we kissed or what it’s like to finally take something just for me. But when those sparks ignited, it was more intense than either of us bargained for. Trouble is...

Three Forks is a settlement of new beginnings… or at least that's what Pete tells himself. Sixteen years ago, the Levin brothers moved from the city to the mountains to start their lumber company and create a name for themselves, along with the town Three Forks, but something never sat right with Iva when the workers kept disappearing… and ghastly remains kept being found. After being released from prison, Pete is looking forward to a rare second chance in Three Forks, West Virginia, working for the Levin Lumber Company. Although he struggles to get along with his drunk boss and the town of people who want to avoid him, he knows this opportunity isn’t one to be wasted—he has a family he needs to send money home to and a felony for murder on his record, leaving him with few prospects. Book Review: Falling for the Fake Boyfriend

Image
Will a fake play score her heart? ♥️ One football player. Two simple rules. Three fake dates. Zero possibility of falling for each other. From USA Today bestselling author S.E. Rose and award-winning author Sierra Hill comes a new college football romance series. My Review I really loved this book a lot. Lucy came right out of the gate with her in your face sassiness towards Emmett. She did not let him slide because he is a popular athlete. Yet, Emmett is more than just a "jock". He actually helps out his Nana and would give up his woman for the guy she has a crush on. For these reasons, i fell in love with Emmett even more.  Let me take a brief moment to mention the intimate "lessons" that Emmett taught Lucy. They were for "research" purposes as Emmett is a very generous guy. Let's just say that Lucy got an "A+". While Emmett and Lucy may have been the main characters in this book, the other characters provided entertainment to the story. ...

Book Review: The Beauty of Butterflies

Image
Lost. Broken. Alone. A fragment of my former self. A butterfly with broken wings. With no sense of direction, and nowhere to go, I’m left seeking out the last person who expected to see me. Hades Gray, also known as my brother’s best friend. He’s part of Carnival de Morte, otherwise known as the Carnival of Death. A secret society. He was my childhood crush, though those feelings don’t nearly compare to the fire that explodes between us now, leaving scars on my heart and finger imprints upon my skin. He isn’t like other men, and I’m instantly captivated by his touch. There’s a mystery about him that I’m nearly desperate to uncover. It’s only when he lays his fingers on my skin do I realize the type of man he really is. Commanding. Possessive. Dominant. And it only takes a glance from him before I fall to my knees. He wants to protect me, to fix the broken wings atop my back. Though, soon enough, there isn’t anyone who can protect me from the evil headed my way, not even Hades Gra...

Book review: Where Angels Fall

Image
Makenna Taylor and Reid Landry are high school sweethearts. He was her first. Her only. They had life all planned out. Right down to the white picket fence and 2.5 kids. Then Reid joined the Marines, and from that day forward, life as Makenna knew it would never be the same. She thought she was a simple girl with a part time job waiting tables while she worked her way through college. She thought she had the fairytale. She thought Callisto Suppato was just another man. She was wrong. Soon, she would learn that every family has secrets. Every stranger has a dark side. And love isn’t just a simple four-letter word. The curtain is pulled back, and Makenna’s world begins to unravel, thread by thread, to reveal something darker. Something she’d only heard about in the whispers of her grandmother’s living room. A world many know about but simply refuse to see. This is  not  an MFM story. It is  not  a love triangle and there is NO CHEATING. This is the story of thre...

Book Review: Dark Prophecy

Image
I have lived, and I have died four times. Now I’m back, and this time my men are with me. Rafe, Cyrus, Deckland, and Maleki. My moon, my heart, my sun, my soul, my everything. The secret is that this journey has never been about me. It’s always been about them. They’re the key, and as we prepare for the final showdown, I know that this is our last shot. No more reincarnations, no more chances to do it right next time. This time, if I lose someone, they’re gone for good. Can I keep all the people I love most safe? Old friends and new will come together one last time. One last battle. One last chance to overcome this prophecy once and for all. We’ve paid our dues, and that throne will be mine. But as the time to face Summer grows closer, that dark voice inside me grows louder. I fear that there will be a final price to pay to see this through, and it might be too steep. The prophecy may claim me after all, as it demands everything that makes me… me. My Review This book is the perfe...

Book Review: Ass-Backwards

Image
*ASS-BACKWARDS, A Bombshells Series Novella** What do you do when you've hit your limit on terrible dates? Well, if you're Anna Garrett, you decide to swear off relationships all together and start using men for sex. That was the plan....no dates, just orgasms. Since moving to Rockplaines to be closer to his sister, Kyle has had his eyes on one woman. She was curvy and sweet and made him feel like a blathering idiot every time he attempted to talk to her. A few tequila shots, a little flirting and a walk in the woods, finally make for a night that Kyle can't remember, and Anna won't soon forget. But she can't date him, can she? She got what she wanted and is supposed to move on, right? Since when did hooking up get so complicated, and why did this all seem ass-backwards? My Review I love this series so much. Reading this novella brought joy as I got to revisit with old friends. Yes, at this point I consider all of the characters more than just people in books but ...

Book Review: Sunk

The ocean is dark and filled with mystery, but it’s not the only thing with secrets. Lucy Sodaro has always wanted to explore the ocean. She never thought it would turn into a career, and definitely not one with her childhood best friend, Tucker, by her side. But now both are marine biologists, living their best life, until Abyss – a private company with murky intentions – offers them the chance of a lifetime. Three months at the bottom of the ocean inside their submarine, the Siren. Lucy and Tucker jump at the opportunity to do what they both love. Explore, with no limits, and all expenses paid. Book Review: Dark Dweller

Image
Captain Kara Psomas was pronounced dead when her research vessel slammed into Jupiter. More than a century later, the crew of the Paralus, a helium mining freighter, find a pristine escape pod with a healthy young girl nestled inside. A girl who claims to be Kara-and she brings a message of doom. She says she has been waiting in the dark for that exact moment. To be found by that particular crew. Because an ancient cosmic being has tasked her with a sacred responsibility. She claims she must alter the Fulcrum, a lever in time-no matter the cost to the people aboard-or condemn the rest of civilization to a very painful and drawn-out demise. She sounds convincing. She appears brave. She might well be insane. My Review I was looking forward to reading this book as I have read another scifi thriller by this author. It was Condition Black for which Mr. Worthington co-work with Stu Jones. I really liked that book thus the reason I wanted to read this book. Sadly, this book just did not...
